Welcome to the NFL Divisional Round of Gaming Today’s Bookies Battle contest. Scott Gringauz (Circa) is looking to pad their lead for the $2,000 reward, while six contestants are right below them in second place.
Let’s look at who our bookies picked for this weekend’s four NFL playoff games. The San Francisco 49ers have the highest spread across the four favorites but still received the most picks among our 11 contestants.

Consensus Picks for NFL Divisional Round
- Texans at Ravens (-9.5) | BAL with 64% of picks
- Packers at 49ers (-10) | SF with 82% of picks
- Buccaneers at Lions (-6) | DET with 55% of picks
- Chiefs at Bills (-2.5) | BUF with 64% of picks
All four home favorites received the majority of picks. Scott, our first-place contestant, went all chalk by selecting the four favorites to cover all weekend long.
As stated above, the 49ers -10 was picked the most, by 9 of our 11 contestants. This includes our leader in the clubhouse heading into the weekend. But two second-place bookies, Atif Chaudry (Penn Interactive) and Nick Smith (Snoqualmie Casino), picked Green Bay to cover the 10 points.
Ravens -9.5 received 7 of 11 picks to kick things off for the weekend. However, all four picks for Texans on the other side are second-place contestants. This includes the two players noted above. So, if Houston and Green Bay at least cover the large spreads, both bookies will be in good shape.
On Sunday, the closest contest is the pick for Lions -6, which received 6 of 11 selections from the bookies. That includes the first-place contestant, Scott. Finally, the Bills -2.5 received 64% of the picks, which equates to 7 out of the 11. Three players in second place were contrarian with the Chiefs: Brian Edwards (Palace Station), Michael Piranio (Mandalay Bay), and Mike Ayala (New York New York).

Other Notes From the Divisional Round Picks
- The most popular card for the weekend are Ravens, 49ers, Lions, Bills. Those four teams were picked by four of our contestants: Scott, Tim Nortz (Northern Quest), Kenny Martin (Caesars Sportsbook – Horseshoe Tunica), and Louie G Martin (Casablanca/virgin River).
- If the Texans, Packers, Buccaneers, and Bills beat the spread this weekend, Atif will have sole possession of first place.
- Nick would gain a place and tie Scott if the Texans, Packers, Lions, and Bills beat the spread.
- Should the Chiefs win or beat the spread, one of our second-place contestants has a good chance of tying for first place or taking the lead, depending on how the results go.
