NFL football is back, and so is NFL betting.

If you’re like most casual bettors, then you’ve likely placed at least a couple — or even dozens — of parlays in your past. Parlays are one of the most popular bet types because you can win large amounts of money in such a short period of time. Parlays can offer enhanced odds and huge payouts, but they come with more risk than single-event bets.

Therefore, it’s important to be smart with which betting app(s) you use to place your parlays. To give you a helping hand, we have scored and ranked the best parlay apps available today.

We also explain the criteria used for scoring and ranking sportsbook apps offering parlay options.

What Apps Are the Best for Parlays?

Parlay Betting Apps, Reviewed

FanDuel Sportsbook (97/100)

Fun fact: FanDuel invented same-game parlays (SGP). The sportsbook introduced SGPs in 2019, and it became such a big hit that other books decided to adopt the concept.

FanDuel’s app may be the best in the business for overall parlay betting. From its seamless user experience to its competitive odds, and wide range of props, FanDuel provides its players with an enjoyable and potentially rewarding parlay betting experience.

FanDuel also has the most generous parlay insurance offer in the industry. Users can receive some form of refund for all sorts of parlays — multi-sport and same-game. If you lose a five-leg parlay by one leg, you can get refunded by up to $25.

The only small downside to betting parlays with FanDuel is that it doesn’t offer bonuses and other promotions for SGPs. However, the sportsbook makes up for it with parlay teasers, odds boosts, and cash outs.

DraftKings Sportsbook (94/100)

As one of the biggest sports betting operators in the world, there’s a lot to like about DraftKings and its parlay features. The secret to the book’s success is its promotional abundance and generosity. Perhaps more than any other sportsbook, DraftKings constantly offers boosts and promos for regular parlays and SGPs, including a SGP profit boost up to 100% for NFL Week 1 games or MLB games.

DraftKings also lays out pre-selected SGPs that actually make sense. One of the keys to cashing in on SGPs is to pick bets that are correlated to each other (more on that later). DraftKings is smart about branding SGPs and this helps it stand out among the best parlay apps. For example, one of the promoted SGPs is titled “The Josh Allen Express,” a +1100 four-legger that contains bets only relating to Bills quarterback Josh Allen. Other betting apps promote SGPs that don’t necessarily make much sense — branding- and correlation-wise.

Although DraftKings offers a fun way to bet SGPs, the process of placing them isn’t the most efficient. In order to create a same-game parlay, you must first enter the “SGP Mode,” which takes you to a separate screen — different from the rest of the regular bets. That may be annoying for some users.

BetMGM Sportsbook (93/100)

BetMGM offers its own version of same-game parlays, but is branded as “One-Game Parlays.” Players can build custom one-game parlays from a choice of hundreds of betting markets, including props bets. However, the knock is that it doesn’t allow you to add Under bets for player props. That may be frustrating for bettors who may feel confident in taking the Under for a particular game.

BetMGM has an extensive list of promotions that are great for parlay betting. Its Parlay Boost feature — when available — can spike up your parlay’s payouts without having to add on any unwanted bets. When it comes to betting on the Super Bowl and other huge events, BetMGM has your back with favorable insurance and free bet options. Users who place a $25 one-game parlay can score a free $10 bet towards any market.

The app also promotes several pre-made parlays to choose from. If you get overwhelmed by customizing your own one-game parlay, then riding with one of these promoted parlays will relieve some of your stress.

Caesars Sportsbook (90/100)

Believe it or not, a big reason why parlay betting is so popular in the US is because of Caesars. Parlays are extremely popular in Europe, but were previously an afterthought in the US. That’s when Caesars decided to purchase London-based company William Hill, which helped Caesars Sportsbook turn into one of the biggest parlay betting operators in the world.

The sportsbook generally has fairly competitive odds, resulting in parlay betting lines that are also fairly priced. Users are very satisfied with not just the odds, but also the selection of props available. Caesars offers specific player props — carries, pass attempts, receptions — that players can add to their NFL SGPs. Most other betting apps don’t offer these props because they’re easy for bettors to predict and beat the house. But Caesars gives its users a chance to win here.

Weirdly enough, Caesars doesn’t offer alternate player props lines for parlay betting, a feature commonly added to same-game parlays. Therefore, it’s harder for users to create big plus-money parlays. Alternate game and team props, however, are up for grabs.

That last leg always hurts you, right? Wrong. With Caesars parlay betting, users who place a four-plus-leg SGP will earn a free bet up to $50 if one leg loses. Parlay boosts and cash outs are also available.

BetRivers Sportsbook (86/100)

BetRivers may not be as world-renowned as other US betting operators, but it finds a way to separate itself from the rest of the pack with its advanced — and sometimes quirky — parlay features.

BetRivers’ standout feature is the Jackpot Parlay, in which eight randomly selected bets are put together into a parlay. Users can then decide if they like the payout enough to accept the parlay.

Bettors can pick which sports or betting markets they’d like to be included, but the actual specific selections are completely random. If you’re interested in gambling blindfolded, then this feature — and parlay betting app – has your name on it.

BetRivers is also heavily invested in the SGP game. Players can enter a $500,000 NFL SGP contest, or capitalize on a 20% parlay profit boost for both soccer and college football. Interested in free bets, as well? Players can score a $10 free bet for every MLB or college football $25 SGP that they place.

How We Review Parlay Betting Apps

Judging the best parlay betting apps is entirely different than the review process for betting apps in general. A particular operator can attract many players to its app by offering rewarding bonuses and other promos. However, if the app doesn’t have many parlay features, or if the parlay payout is severely underpriced, then parlay bettors may go a different route to place bets.

We took a lot of factors into account when ranking and scoring the best parlay betting apps. The review criteria includes:

  • Does the app include features that you can’t find elsewhere?
  • Are parlay-related bonuses/promos offered?
  • Are competitive odds offered?
  • Are same-game parlays offered?
  • How many sports/leagues are available on the app for parlay betting?
  • Are there live cash out options for parlays?
  • Is the app easy to use and navigate through?

What Is the Best Way to Bet Parlays?

Parlays may be the most polarizing type of betting out there. You have one camp of bettors who argue that parlays are the way to lose your money and that you should avoid them at all costs. But then you have the pro-parlay bettors who believe that parlays are what make sports betting thrilling and that you can win big from them in such short amounts of time.

While both parties have valid points, the choice is yours on how you want to spend your time and money wagering on sports. But if you are to bet parlays, then you ought to be doing it right.

Don’t get mesmerized by the potential payout. Some parlay fanatics have a tendency to add too many legs to their parlays, and therefore, almost never experience a winning parlay. Stick to a few legs at a time – perhaps two to four. The more bets you add, the more risk you incur.

Parlays can be risky due to their low probability of success, but there’s a certain type of parlay called a round-robin that gives you a little more wiggle room for error. A round-robin is just a group of smaller parlays that allows you to potentially profit even if one or two legs don’t hit.

Remember that talk earlier about correlated parlays? Well, this may be the secret sauce to consistently winning parlays. A correlated parlay is where each bet is linked to the other bets. In other words, if one bet wins, then the odds of winning the remaining bets improve as well.

Understanding how parlay odds work can also help boost your winning percentages. Be sure to check out our parlay calculator, where you can evaluate the payout odds and implied probability of a parlay.
