The PFL is making big-time moves as it continues to grow in the sport of mixed martial arts. After a year of incredible growth, PFL MMA will continue its expansion period as BetMGM will take wagers on its events. The expectation is that BetMGM will be taking bets immediately on June 10th. The card will feature PFL newcomer, Anthony “Showtime” Pettis and Claressa Shields in her MMA debut.

PFL CEO Peter Murray announced via a press release, “We’re excited to partner with BetMGM to evolve our premium betting experiences for the millions of passionate sports fans across the country ahead of PFL 4 on June 10th. Our fighters are facing win-or-go-home matchups in the remaining Regular Season events and expanding our sports betting offerings delivers another thrilling component to our league.”

For those not familiar with the PFL, the promotion features a regular season for each weight class. At the end of the season, each champion is given a $1 million prize. The PFL is the fastest growing MMA promotion by far and has been featuring cutting-edge technology on ESPN. The PFL has been taking wagers through DraftKings Sportsbook since April 20th of this year.

For bettors that are looking to watch the PFL tonight on ESPN, BetMGM is offering a very special bonus. Any $25 bet on the PFL is awarded with a $10 bonus bet.

BetMGM Chief Revenue Officer, Matt Prevost said, “The upcoming PFL slate is phenomenal, and we look forward to offering fans exciting opportunities to get in on the action with unique PFL promotions on BetMGM.”

Sportsbooks Moving Heavily Into Combat Sports

Oscar De La Hoya, one of the most famous boxers of his time, announced their deal with Bally’s sports this morning. The promotion is expected to be called, “Oscar de la Hoya’s KO Entertainment Presents Bally’s Fight Night”.

Bally’s fight night is going to feature 5 MMA fights and 4 boxing contests throughout its card. The partnership is yet another step in bringing more combat sports to the mainstream. Last weekend, Logan Paul and Floyd Mayweather sold over 1 million PPV buys.

Bally’s is looking to get into that action as soon as possible. Soo Kim, chairman of Bally’s Corporation expressed excitement over unveiling the pilot of Bally’s Fight Night. “This partnership represents an extraordinary opportunity to bring together experts in gaming, media, and combat sports to breathe new life into boxing and mixed martial arts.”
