Bookies Battle 2023 Regular Season Recap: Overall and Quarterly Winners

The 2023 NFL regular season is complete, and it’s time to announce the current winners of Gaming Today’s Bookies Battle contest. 75% of our $8,000 purse is complete. The remaining $2,000 will be awarded to the winner of the upcoming playoffs.

Duane Colucci (Rampart Casino) and Atif Chaudry (Penn Interactive) take the bulk of the winnings as the top two regular-season finishers. They had over 55 percent of their picks correct throughout the season. Brian MacGillivray (Barley’s Casino) was the champion of the second quarter.

The top 10 regular season finishers and Brian MacGillivray advance to the NFL playoffs round. The bookie with the most correct picks across 13 postseason games will receive $2,000. More details on the winners and regular-season statistics are below.

2023 NFL Regular Season Winners and Statistics

Duane Colucci takes half of the purse ($4,000) as the champion of two of the four quarters and the regular season winner. They finish the regular season with a 148-116 record. They began the season strong with a 13-3 record in Week 1 and had 10+ correct picks to round out the first quarter.

Through Weeks 10-12, Duane finished in the top 10 to guide the way to another quarter victory. They had three top-six finishes in the final four weeks to finish with the regular season title, including a 10-6 record in Week 18.

Atif Chaudry scored second place overall in the regular season with a solid fourth-quarter finish, which he also took, and netted $1,500 in winnings. They started with a 9-5 record in Week 14. After a 7-8 record in Week 15, they finished in the top 10 over the last three weeks, including taking Week 18 with an 11-5 record.

It was a remarkable run for Atif in the fourth quarter, going 44-31 in the final five weeks. Overall, Atif finished with a 144-120 record, four winning picks behind Duane.

Brian MacGillivray was the champion of the second quarter and received $500 in winnings. It was a successful start to the quarter with a 10-5 record in Week 6, and then a 6-7 record in Week 7. They went 19-9 to take the quarter over Weeks 8 and 9.

Those three bookies and eight other top finishers are eligible for the remaining $2,000 in the purse. Here’s the full list:

The following lines are available in the contest for the six Wild Card games. The selection cutoff time is 30 minutes before the kickoff of the first playoff game (Saturday at 4:00 p.m. ET). Bookie selections will be released shortly after that.

  • Dolphins at Chiefs (-3.5)
  • Steelers at Bills (-10)
  • Packers at Cowboys (-7.5)
  • Rams at Lions (-3.5)
  • Eagles at Buccaneers (+2.5)

Both the home teams in games that bookend the weekend are underdogs. Buffalo is the biggest favorite of the weekend over Pittsburgh, and Dallas is just over a touchdown favorite against Green Bay.
