Caesars Entertainment says it has the seasoned casino player in mind as it launched Horseshoe Online Casino in Michigan on Oct. 7.

Horseshoe Online Casino debuts its desktop and mobile in Michigan through a partnership with the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians. They operate a group of Kewadin Casinos in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

The Horseshoe Casino brand dates back to 1951 along the Las Vegas Strip. Matt Sunderland, Senior Vice President and Chief iGaming Officer at Caesars Digital, feels Horseshoe “is anchored by a promise to put the player first.”

“A brand with such a storied past deserves an online equivalent that pays respect to the legacy it has established in gaming. That is what we’ve created with Horseshoe Online Casino,” he said as part of the launch announcement. “This launch reinforces our multi-brand online casino strategy by seamlessly bringing another one of our world-class Caesars brands into the palms of players’ hands.”

Horseshoe Online Casino joins the Caesars digital portfolio alongside:

  • Caesars Palace Online Casino
  • Tropicana Online Casino
  • Caesars Sportsbook & Casino
  • Harrah’s Online Casino
  • and WSOP.com.

Horseshoe Could Launch in Other States

Caesars Entertainment has 10 brick-and-mortar Horseshoe Casino locations in North America, and the company plans to expand its digital footprint. For now, Michigan is the only state where the Horseshoe brand is available.

Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia are potential new markets for Horseshoe Online Casino. They join Michigan as the only states that offer iGaming.

Bet-from-home casino bills in Maryland and Maine have stalled in their respective legislatures. New York State Sen. Joseph Addabbo Jr. has pushed for a New York online casino bill, and Wyoming has commissioned Spectrum Gaming Group to study iGaming in the Equality State.

Michigan went live with online casino games on Jan. 21, 2021, so Horseshoe Online Casino joins a well-established market.
