Prediction markets are evolving quickly, and the latest change feels familiar to anyone who has ever built a parlay ticket.

Crypto.com has launched combo betting for its sports prediction markets, allowing users to bundle up to four outcomes into a single contract. The update adds more strategy and risk while quietly narrowing the gap between financial trading and traditional sports wagering.

This rollout expands Crypto.com’s existing sports event trading product, which operates in the U.S. through a CFTC-regulated derivatives platform. The company avoids sportsbook terminology, but the mechanics will look instantly recognizable to most bettors.

A Parlay Without the Sportsbook Label

Combo betting on Crypto.com Predictions works almost exactly like a parlay. Users select multiple outcomes across different events and combine them into one position. Every selection must be correct for the contract to settle as a winner. One miss wipes out the entire position.

Sportsbooks have relied on parlays for decades because they generate strong margins. Each added leg compounds the difficulty, shifting the math further in the operator’s favor. Same-game parlays take that concept even further, since correlated outcomes require odds adjustments that often catch casual players off guard.

Crypto.com’s version removes the betting language but keeps the same emotional pull. A bigger upside comes with slimmer odds and higher volatility, which is precisely what attracts many users.

A Trend Already Taking Shape Across the Sector

Crypto.com is far from alone in this move. Kalshi rolled out its own combo-style contracts last year, first testing the feature with a limited group before expanding it to all users. Demand surged quickly, signaling that traders were eager for more complex, higher-upside positions.

Robinhood has also leaned into bundled outcomes, offering both premade and custom combo contracts. The structure closely mirrors how sportsbooks present parlays, even though the product is framed as a financial position rather than a wager.

Interest in combined outcomes has also grown on Polymarket, despite its long-standing focus on single markets. User behavior suggests that once traders become comfortable with prediction contracts, many seek ways to amplify potential returns.

Why Players Keep Chasing Combos

Research helps explain why combo products catch on so quickly. Eilers & Krejcik have pointed out that parlays deliver a stronger emotional payoff than single bets. Multiple events unfolding in sequence create tension, momentum, and a sense of narrative that keeps users engaged.

That same psychology applies to prediction markets. Combo contracts feel less like spreadsheets and more like a game, which matters in an increasingly competitive landscape. Engagement drives volume, and volume drives liquidity.

The Line Continues to Blur

The rise of combo betting highlights where prediction markets are headed in 2026. Platforms are no longer content to stay purely analytical or niche. Hybrid products that blend trading, sports betting-like actions, and gaming mechanics are becoming the norm.

Crypto.com’s move signals that combo betting is quickly turning into a standard feature rather than a novelty. As more platforms follow suit, the distinction between trading an outcome and betting on a game keeps fading. What remains is a familiar experience wrapped in new language, with sportsbooks and prediction markets inching closer together by the month.
