The Bengals opened -2 in Las Vegas on Sunday night, but the point spread has been adjusted up to -4 by midweek. Here are current numbers from the US sports betting marketplace.
NFL · Thu (9/29) @ 8:15pm ET
|Paul Brown Stadium, Cincinnati, Ohio|
The uncertain status of Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa complicates matters, both for traditional bettors and those wagering on Dolphins vs. Bengals props. We’re highlighting Dolphins receivers under the assumption that Teddy Bridgewater is under center. While Bridgewater’s upside is limited, he’s a capable NFL signal-caller. There’s still reason to like both Jaylen Waddle and Tyreek Hill at their lengthened prices.

Week 4 Thursday Night Football Player Props and TD Scorers
Ja’Marr Chase TD (+105, DraftKings)
Chase leads the Bengals in targets by a wide margin and is tied for the team lead with two touchdowns. The offensive line remains a concern, but anytime Chase is plus-money to score, bettors should stop and consider placing a wager.
Tyler Boyd Under 40.5 Receiving Yards (-114, FanDuel)
Don’t let Boyd’s Week 3 outburst cloud your judgment. It was the first time — including playoffs — Boyd averaged double-figure yards-per-catch since Week 15 of the 2021 season. With Chase and Tee Higgins in the fold, there’s no reason for Joe Burrow to feed Boyd the targets he’ll need to collect 41 receiving yards.
Jaylen Waddle TD (+150, FanDuel)
Tua Tagovailoa’s questionable tag presents an opportunity to find value in Waddle’s touchdown odds. No. 2 quarterback Teddy Bridgewater isn’t great by any stretch — he is a backup after all — but he’s capable of getting the ball in the hands of his playmakers.

Tyreek Hill TD (+135, Caesars)
The same context applies to Hill as it applies to Waddle. Catching passes from Bridgewater will not be ideal, but Hill is as explosive as they come, and he’s more than capable of stretching a short completion into a six-point scamper. Bettors with a degree of risk acceptance will certainly like the lengthened touchdown odds on the Dolphins’ top two receivers.
Tee Higgins Over 4.5 Receptions (-148, FanDuel)
Higgins’ odds to hit the Over in this spot may be a bit short for the most regimented bettors. However, he reeled in six and five receptions in his two healthy contests, and he’s an excellent sidekick to Chase. Quality volume is a weekly constant for Higgins, and he should see enough targets to reach five receptions once again.
