Fanatics Sportsbook launched its third mobile sportsbook on Thursday, adding Massachusetts to its previous lineup of Ohio and Tennessee.
As with those previous states, which launched in late April, only those already on Fanatics’ apparel-purchasing database will be invited to participate in what is officially considered a beta test by the company. Fanatics, which boasts more than 95 million on that database, is certain to expand its national reach even further having agreed to a deal to purchase the assets of PointsBet’s American operation.
Fanatics’ Beta Testing Promo Offer
With the Fanatics bonus code, users can receive $200 in bonus bets after a wager of at least $5 is placed.
During beta testing in Tennessee, Fanatics users were polled on their preferences for various cosmetic aspects of the app. In the future, a curated experience should produce a personalized betting page where bettors can find their favorite teams quickly.
Those who are not invited can download the Fanatics sports betting app on the iOS or Android app markets and join a waiting list.
Fanatics Slowly Filling Out National Mobile Sportsbook Map
Fanatics becomes the eighth mobile sportsbook in Massachusetts, joining Barstool, BetMGM, Betr, Caesars Sportsbook, DraftKings, FanDuel, and WynnBET.
According to a statement announcing the Massachusetts soft launch: “Beginning today, Fanatics customers in Massachusetts will be contacted by Fanatics Betting and Gaming to join the extended beta testing program for the Fanatics Sportsbook. Eligible customers will receive a code to gain access to the Fanatics Sportsbook and non-Fanatics customers can download the app on iOS and Android to join the waiting list.”
Boston-based company DraftKings has run out ahead so far in Massachusetts, accounting for 52% of betting handle in April. Sports betting launched in Massachusetts on March 10.
Fanatics is expected to soon launch a mobile platform in Maryland. It already has a retail shop at FedEx Field, the first sportsbook to open inside an NFL stadium. Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin has publically espoused a plan to be live in 12-15 states by the commencement of the lucrative NFL betting season.
Fanatics had initially announced a hopeful June launch but touted its early arrival in time for Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals, featuring the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat.
