In January, UFC and WWE struck a partnership with online casino developer SPRIBE to “amplify the global reach of Aviator,” its flagship game.
Those tuning in for tonight’s UFC 312 pay-per-view might see Aviator advertised on the mat, although the partnership announcement didn’t make clear when ads would first start appearing.
Aviator is a “viral online gaming sensation,” and one of the best-known examples of a crash game. Although Aviator itself isn’t available in the US, many sweeps casinos offer crash games that are almost the same thing.
In Aviator, a plane rises along a track alongside a growing multiplier. Players wait and attempt to stop the plane at the highest possible multiplier before the game “crashes” and ends, giving no wins. Such games have become massively popular at online casinos and sweepstakes sites.
While you might start seeing advertisements for Aviator in UFC and WWE streams or events, that doesn’t necessarily mean you can play the game legally in the States.
Expect Aviator Ads, But Don’t Expect To Play The Game
SPRIBE (creator of Aviator) formed a partnership with UFC and WWE in January. The deal includes signage for Aviator on the Octagon canvas at every UFC event. Meanwhile, WWE will feature Aviator branding at “select marquee events.”
In short, you’ll probably see a whole lot of Aviator imagery and ads peppered throughout your favorite UFC and WWE events in the coming years (the partnership is billed as “multiyear”).
Here’s the catch, though: Aviator isn’t available anywhere in the US. At least, not legally. The game is available in many other markets, including many European countries with real-money online gaming. Right now, thought, Aviator isn’t offered by any real-money casinos or sweepstakes casinos in the US.
What does this mean for UFC and WWE fans who see ads for the game? Well, not a whole lot. For now, you can’t play Aviator in the US, so the ads will be like any others for products you can’t use or otherwise aren’t interested in. The ads are mostly targeted to global fans of UFC and WWE who can play Aviator.
Where To Play Crash Games In The US
If Aviator piques your curiosity even though you can’t play it in the States, don’t fret. Sweepstakes casinos are legal in most US states, and many of them have crash-style games you can enjoy instead.
Stake.us is one of the top cryptocurrency sweepstakes sites in the US, and it has two different crash games. The first is called Crash (creative, right), and it plays very similarly to Aviator. Pump is a fresh take on crash games in which players pump up a balloon and choose to end the game before it pops. Both games allow you to set your own volatility and play with numerous additional options, such as autoplay.
McLuck.com is another top sweepstakes casino, and it offers a unique take on Crash with Crash Live. The game is hosted by a real person from a remote location, and all players participate in the game at once. When a game round ends, the host shows stats on screen, such as the highest multipliers. It’s a cool twist on Crash titles that makes it feel more like a community game.
While Aviator might take some time to come to legal sites in the US, sweepstakes casinos have you covered in the meantime.
