Kalshi is making a clear play to keep its most active users close. The prediction market platform has begun rolling out a VIP-style loyalty program aimed at high-volume traders, signaling that retention is becoming just as important as growth.

The program, known as Kalshi Platinum, is still in its early days, but enough details have surfaced to show how the company plans to reward its most loyal customers.

A Program Built for the Platform’s Power Users

Kalshi confirmed this week that it is piloting a VIP initiative designed for traders who consistently drive activity on the exchange. Company officials describe the concept as similar to what users already see across financial brokerages and large consumer platforms.

Priority support is the headline benefit. Traders invited into Kalshi Platinum receive direct access to customer support for most of the day, running from early morning through late evening. For users who place frequent trades, that kind of availability can make a real difference when something needs attention quickly.

The program also includes branded merchandise, invitations to in-person events, and referral incentives. Kalshi has hinted that more perks will be added over time as the program continues to take shape.

What Kalshi Platinum Actually Includes

Publicly shared emails suggest that Kalshi has already started reaching out to a select group of users. Those messages outline a more hands-on experience, including access to a dedicated account manager available up to 18 hours a day.

Invitations to dinners and local events are part of the package, adding a relationship-focused element that goes beyond typical customer support. Referral incentives are also baked in, giving VIPs a reason to bring new traders onto the platform.

None of these benefits is groundbreaking on its own, but together they form a familiar loyalty structure that many experienced traders already recognize from other industries.

Retention Is About More Than Goodwill

There is a practical reason Kalshi is focusing on loyalty right now. Liquidity is critical for any exchange, and steady participation from experienced traders helps keep markets efficient and pricing competitive.

Kalshi already operates a rewards system that encourages users to place resting orders, improving execution for the broader trading community. A VIP tier builds on that approach by giving the most active users extra reasons to stay engaged.

Competition is another factor. Sports-related contracts remain Kalshi’s largest source of trading volume, even though the platform offers many non-sports markets. As regulated sportsbooks continue to expand into new states, the pressure to keep sports-focused traders loyal will only increase.

Borrowing From Familiar Financial Models

Kalshi has pointed to established financial companies as inspiration for its approach. Platforms like Coinbase, Kraken, and Charles Schwab all offer tiered benefits for high-value customers.

Coinbase, for instance, provides premium support, higher withdrawal limits, fee incentives, and access to exclusive events for advanced users. Many of those ideas closely resemble what Kalshi is now testing with Platinum.

Company representatives have emphasized that the program applies to all high-volume traders, not just those focused on sports markets. That distinction is important as Kalshi continues to position itself as a financial exchange rather than a betting platform.

A Familiar Look for Sports Betting Critics

Even with those explanations, comparisons to sportsbook VIP programs are hard to ignore. Many regulated sportsbooks already offer host-style perks to frequent players, a practice that has drawn criticism from responsible gaming advocates.

Brands like DraftKings and FanDuel often come up in those debates, especially now that both companies have launched their own prediction-style products.

Kalshi insists its program fits within standard financial-industry norms. Still, Kalshi Platinum adds another layer to the ongoing conversation about where prediction markets end, and sportsbooks begin. One thing is clear: Kalshi is making sure its biggest traders feel valued, and it is willing to spend to keep them that way.
