Kambi, whose sports betting technology is used by several sportsbook operators, has added college football games to its Game Parlay product. This will allow bettors to include multiple college football markets — like point spreads, moneylines and totals, and eventually first-half, first-quarter, and player prop bets — in a single parlay.
While recreational bettors gravitate toward the high potential payouts parlays offer, sportsbooks have a bigger edge on parlays than they do on straight bets. Parlays are a major revenue driver and provide new promotional opportunities for sportsbooks.
Per a press release from the company, over 40% of NFL bettors wager with Game Parlay, and same-game and multi-game parlays make up about 20% of all pre-game bets.
What College Football Legs Mean For Sportsbooks
Kambi counts Rush Street Interactive (which operates the BetRivers and PlaySugarHouse sportsbook brands), Penn National Gaming (which owns Barstool Sportsbook), and Churchill Downs among its customers. The addition of college football to the Game Parlay product allows these partner books to create new promotions that appeal to college football bettors.
“The expansion of college football within Game Parlay is an exciting step forward for our product, our partners and bettors alike,” Simon Noy, Kambi’s Senior VP Trading, said in the release.
Kambi promises to expand Game Parlay to other sports, such as NHL and MLB.
