After a scorching October in which Michigan online casinos totaled $261.7 million in revenue, earnings fell to $233.3 million in November. The market felt the sting of a significant revenue drop-off from its top three online gaming products: Motor City Casino, MGM Grand Detroit, and Bay Mills Indian Community.
Top Michigan online casinos see sharp revenue decline
Motor City Casino, MGM Grand Detroit, and Bay Mills combined for $178.2 million in October, followed by a combined revenue of $145.6 million in November. The decline was sharp: a $32.5 million drop, representing an 18.3% month-on-month decrease.
Bay Mills struggled the most, losing more than $23 million in revenue — a 55.3% plunge. MGM faced a $5.5 million decline, while MotorCity saw its revenue dip $3.9 million from the previous month.

Tribal operators defy downward trend
While Michigan’s largest online casinos stumbled in November, several smaller competitors posted solid growth.
The Keweenaw Bay Indian Community enjoyed the largest gain of the month at 11%. Its revenue rose nealry $1 million. The Little River Band of Ottawa Indians saw its online casino revenue rise 10.6%, from $19.3 million to $21.3 million. The Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippew Indians and the Lac Vieux Desert Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians both saw gains of more than 8%.
