The Buffalo Bills are the betting favorites to win the 2022-23 AFC title at sportsbooks, but there is plenty more value to be had moving down the AFC oddsboard.

Per FanDuel‘s odds, Buffalo (+350) has the best chance to win the conference with an implied probability of 22.22%.

Backing the Bills and Chiefs at Lower Odds

Expectations are high in Buffalo, and rightly so. QB Josh Allen and WR Stefon Diggs are one of the NFL‘s most productive duos.

Allen often finds himself scampering, and that’s due in part to a less-than-stellar offensive line. Pro Football Focus has Buffalo’s O-Line ranked 20th heading into the new season. That could be an area of concern, but Buffalo still manages to put up plenty of points. The Bills ranked third in the NFL last season with 28.4 points per game.

Buffalo advanced to the AFC Championship Game two seasons ago, but the Bills came out on the wrong end of a 38-24 score against Kansas City. The Chiefs, the +500 second betting favorite, offer some added value.

KC lost star WR Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins in free agency, but Patrick Mahomes still has plenty of weapons, including TE Travis Kelce.

Betting Analysis

We can’t fault you for backing the Bills at +350, as a $100 bet returns $350 if they capture their first AFC title since 1994. Kansas City is the preferred play, though, as that same bet pays out $500 if the Chiefs win another AFC title. Fun fact: KC has hosted the last four AFC Championship games. It’s the first NFL team to accomplish that feat.

Bet the Bengals to Repeat as AFC Champs?

Cincinnati’s young nucleus on offense remains intact with QB Joe Burrow, WR Ja’Marr Chase, and RB Joe Mixon all returning to the starting lineup.

Why not bet the Bengals again at juicy odds of +1200? In an odd twist, the Bengals got swept by AFC North rival Cleveland last season. If DeShaun Watson is on the field, that will be another tough divisional matchup.

The Browns have the best running game in the NFL, per PFF’s rankings. Nick Chubb gouged the Bengals for 137 yards and two TDs in the first game last season before a meaningless Week 18 contest to close the season.

Betting Analysis

The Baltimore Ravens (+170) are favored to win the AFC North division at FanDuel. The Bengals are being dealt as the second choice at +185. QB Lamar Jackson’s new contract will eventually get done, and the Ravens will be a tough out.

Cincinnati enjoyed a magical ride to the AFC Championship and Super Bowl last season. But the Bengals will have to prove it to us again in 2022-23, especially against the third-toughest schedule in the NFL. No bet.

Live Longshot: Take A Flier on the Raiders

The Las Vegas Raiders welcomed one of the NFL’s best wide receivers into the fold during the offseason. Davante Adams has reunited with his college teammate Derek Carr. Working together, the Fresno State products should elevate an offensive unit that finished just outside the NFL’s top-10 offenses last year at 363.8 yards per game.

Last season, the Raiders made the NFL Playoffs for the first time in five years. Las Vegas lost to Cincinnati in the opening round, 26-19, but expect the Raiders to build on that effort.

Betting Analysis

This is a play for us just based on the number being offered at FanDuel. At +2500, the value is off-the-charts good. If things fall their way, the Raiders could be this year’s version of last year’s Bengals. Another wager we love? Betting on the Raiders to make the NFL Playoffs (+160) at DraftKings.

What Other NFL Futures Bets Can I Make?

You can always bet on Super Bowl 57 odds. The Buffalo Bills (+600) are favored at DraftKings to win. Buffalo is +650 at FanDuel.

But what if you want to bet on the Carolina Panthers to win Super Bowl 57? FanDuel offered the Panthers at +10000, but DraftKings was dealing Carolina at much more attractive odds of +13000. This is not uncommon with futures odds. It always pays to shop around the market for the best available odds before getting down with your bet.

There are also futures odds on NFL teams to make or miss the playoffs. DraftKings offers -490 odds on Buffalo to make the NFL Playoffs. Based on those odds, the Bills have the greatest chance of any AFC team to make the playoffs with an 83% implied probability to do so.
