Ninety percent of NFL bettors say that wagering enhances their enjoyment of games, according to The Optimove Insights 2024-2025 Consumer Report on NFL Wagering Intentions, with 54% adding it “significantly” heightened their enjoyment.
The survey, conducted in August, polled 356 U.S. citizens aged 21 and older who bet on the NFL. All respondents had an income of at least $75,000.
Optimove is a customer-led marketing platform specializing in iGaming and sports betting.
The survey, released ahead of the NFL season-opener between Baltimore and Kansas City on Sept. 5, breaks down numerous facets of the bettor experience, including attitudes on how they’re marketed to by sportsbooks apps and some troubling responsible gambling admissions. It also offers insight for sportsbooks as they continue to mine for business, with 40 US jurisdictions having legalized sports betting since 2018.
