Michigan was home to the biggest online casino news this past week, but don’t miss a Caesars tournament that could lead to one lucky user winning $1 million.

Hard Rock Bet Michigan delivers $225K jackpot

Michigan’s Hard Rock Bet online casino has surrendered another six-figure jackpot over the past two months.

A player won an impressive $225,820.31 jackpot from Majestic Fury Power 5 Jackpot Royale on a $2 spin on April 29. It’s the ninth six-figure jackpot that Hard Rock Bet has awarded in the past two months.

The state’s online casino market, which ranks among the top three in the country, has a knack for awarding massive jackpots. In 2025, it broke the national record for biggest online casino payouts twice: first in February with a $9.3 million win, then again in November with a $22.4 million win.

Caesars’ online casino $1M tournament ticket

This week, Caesars Palace Online Casino opened another qualifying round for its Millionaire Maker slot tournament at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas later this year. To get a ticket to the tourney, a player must finish at the top of the Caesars 50K Millionaire leaderboard.

Players can earn two leaderboard points for every $5 they win through an Empire-brand slot game: Ca$hline, Fountain of the Gods, and 4 Towers of Triumph. Players can earn one leaderboard point for every $5 they win on all other slots and video poker games available through Caesars in their state.

While only one person will get a place in the Millionaire Maker tournament, the top 750 finishers will split a $50,000 bonus, around $67 per person.

Michigan launches responsible gaming campaign

The Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) has launched a responsible gaming initiative aimed at the state’s youth.

“Don’t Bet on Your Future” is an educational and prevention program meant to make young people aware of the risks of underage gambling. The biggest risk, according to the program’s website, DontBetOnYourFuture.org, is that gambling as a teenager increases the chances that they will develop problem gambling habits in future years.

The campaign’s website provides a quiz about problem gambling, resources for those struggling with underage gambling problems, and those who have a loved one caught up in it. There’s also a page dedicated to helping people identify the signs of underage problem gambling

The campaign includes a booster initiative that awards up to $4,000 to high school booster programs that use MGCB-approved messaging through “media ads, scoreboards, event programs, and school newsletters,” a press release notes.

MGCB Executive Director Henry Williams said the aim of the campaign is to get ahead of issues before they become full-fledged problems.

“We are committed to ensuring the next generation understands the real risks of gambling before they ever place a bet.”
