Facing heightened scrutiny over the integrity of prediction, Polymarket has partnered with data analytics and AI giant Palantir to monitor the sports contracts issued on its platform.
While specific details have not been disclosed, the deal marks another high-profile partnership for Palantir, which has seen its market influence expand rapidly over the last two years.
Polymarket looks to allay insider trading fears
The partnership is intended to act as a backstop against insider trading. Polymarket and TWG AI developed proprietary software for Polymarket that leverages machine learning and artificial intelligence to identify and root out suspicious activity.
Concerns regarding insider trading have intensified following high-stakes wagers on geopolitical events, including airstrikes in Iran and the potential ouster of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro. After a small group of users on Kalshi and Polymarket earned millions on those specific outcomes, critics raised alarms that insiders might be leveraging classified information regarding military actions.
To combat this, Polymarket told Bloomberg its measures include screening bettors against existing lists of banned users.
Transparency in a ‘ripe’ predictions market
Until now, Polymarket has remained relatively quiet regarding its internal procedures for handling trading accusations. The public nature of the Palantir deal is a notable shift, directly addressing critics who argue that prediction markets are uniquely vulnerable to abuse.
Palantir’s growing dominance in data surveillance
The deal adds to a streak of significant wins for Denver-based Palantir. In August 2025, the company secured a 10-year, $10 billion contract with the US Army to deploy AI solutions in battlefield scenarios.
The company’s growth in 2026 has been significant:
-
Market Performance: Palantir’s share price has more than doubled this year.
-
Government Contracts: The company has signed new pacts with the Department of Homeland Security and the US Navy.
-
Private Sector: A high-profile partnership with Nvidia was also finalized earlier this year.
In a statement to Bloomberg, Polymarket co-founder and CEO Shayne Coplan cited Palantir’s technical expertise as the primary reason for the collaboration.
“Our partnership with Palantir and TWG AI allows us to apply world-class analytics and monitoring to sports markets,” Coplan said.
