PrizePicks Launches New Free-to-Play Product in Michigan; Other States to Follow

Online daily fantasy games offer sports fans a variety of ways to stay entertained and engaged while keeping up with their favorite athletes and teams. And on Nov. 9, PrizePicks North America’s biggest operator of daily fantasy sports made a big announcement involving the availability of its product.

Daily Free-to-Play Fantasy Made Easy… in Michigan

Last week, PrizePicks launched a new free-to-play game as part of its already popular platform, and the first state to gain access to this brand-new vertical is Michigan.

Brian Huss, PrizePicks VP of Innovation, noted that this new game “opens the door” for the company to “reach sports fans who may not already be familiar with PrizePicks.”

According to its website, additional states will eventually gain access to this latest, innovative free-to-play offering as a part of the company’s rollout.

Win for Free

In the meantime, players in Michigan can take advantage of 1,000 PrizePoints every day. Functioning as virtual cash, users can apply PrizePoints to make picks each day throughout the schedule of sporting events.

The reward?

Each day, the top 100 users with the best scores within the state will have an opportunity to claim their share of that day’s prize.

To entice Michigan gamers, PrizePicks is promoting the current push with the tagline, “Play for free. Win for real. Every day.”

While it’s currently unclear which sports will be part of the free-to-play product, the pay-to-play side of PrizePicks does offer access to more than two dozen sports like NFL, college football, NBA, PGA, WNBA, Formula 1, and more.

About PrizePicks

PrizePicks was founded in Atlanta, GA where the headquarters are currently located. The company describes itself as the fastest-growing sports company in North America, citing the 2023 Inc. 5000 rankings as a source.
