Prop bets enhance the enjoyment of watching live games on television. As sports bettors, we know that. But did you know there’s an app that can reduce the rigors of your research? Yes, there’s an app for that.

Based in Hamilton, Ontario, Props.cash offers a data-driven approach to finding props that offer betting value. Props.cash can be used as a research tool for handicapping props in the NFL, NBA, MLB, and NHL. Props.cash founder & CEO Pete Smaluck’s team recently added the WNBA to the company’s roster of sports.

Betting on baseball props at sportsbooks such as DraftKings and FanDuel accelerates as MLB takes center stage in the summertime. Smaluck noted that prop lines can be available on as many as 250 hitters and 25 pitchers on any given night.

“The volume of prop lines each night is too much (for most recreational handicappers) to organize and gather that data,” he said. “(Our product) gives people a much further starting point in terms of their research. They’re able to start in a position much further ahead than someone who has to gather the data and organize it when looking through box scores to find an edge.”

Pitchers alone can have prop lines for strikeouts, walks, ERA, earned runs, and hits allowed. Props.cash utilizes its proprietary software to help bettors quickly analyze and locate the day’s most value-laden props. Gaming Today asked Smaluck to provide our readers with the top-five prop bets for Monday’s MLB games. Here they are:

An Unusual Beginning

Props.cash is truly an app for prop bettors made by a prop bettor. Smaluck has personally been playing props for more than two decades in Canada. During the Covid pandemic, he built the software that would ultimately result in the launch of Props.cash. But it was originally designed as an app for teachers and kids to help them learn math by using NBA data. Smaluck attended college with the hope of becoming an elementary math teacher, but his career veered toward startups in Ontario.

The company’s shift from education to sports betting has proved to be fortuitous. Props.cash was recently named as a finalist for the SBC Rising Star in Sports Betting Award. Props.cash is available for both Apple iOS and Android devices, and it offers users a clear value proposition.

“If you only have 30 minutes to research props each day, we allow you to make that 30 minutes much more productive,” he said.
