Sportradar Receives Supplier License Ahead of North Carolina Sports Betting Launch

Sportradar announced today that it received a supplier license in North Carolina. The license’s issue date is February 28, which is good for five years. North Carolina sports betting will launch on March 11 at 12 p.m. ET, so Sportradar received its license a few days before the state’s full go-live.

Sportradar is in Good Company at NC

Sportradar joins a long list of suppliers in NC. The North Carolina State Lottery Commission grants supplier licenses after a rigorous review process.

In most cases, such licenses are given to companies that don’t intend to offer NC sports betting but instead will provide services and systems to the actual operators. Sportradar joins the following companies with a supplier license in NC:

Beyond supplier licenses, the North Carolina State Lottery Commission has been extra busy. Last week, the Commission awarded eight sports betting licenses to:

  • ESPN BET
  • Underdog
  • Tribal Casino Gaming Enterprise (Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians)

Caesars received a license as a service provider, which will still allow the company to offer sports betting in North Carolina.
