It’s been a while since we reviewed a buffet. When it comes to buffets Las Vegas is known for some of the best.

I have eaten at most of the buffets around town and on the Strip at least once. Today we are going to talk about what I feel is the best one off the Strip. To be honest, many would argue this is the best buffet in town.

I really couldn’t argue with them and I’m going to stick with The Studio B Buffet at the M Resort (12300 S. Las Vegas Blvd). What makes it the best in my opinion is the combination of quality, selection and price.

The weekday dinner buffet is just $23.99 with the weekend Seafood buffet going for $39.99. The M Resort was a casino built by locals for locals and that concept was carried over to their buffet.

The Studio B is one of the only buffets that offers its guest beer and wine at no extra charge. If that doesn’t strike your fancy, they also offer fresh Root Beer on tap, which is one of my personal favorites.

Let’s get to the food because that’s why we are here. The Studio B Buffet has a wide variety ranging from a sushi section along with Chinese, Japanese, Mexican, Italian and American favorites. There is something for everyone here.

They have a great selection of breads, soups and salads, but to be honest, I’m not wasting much room in my stomach on those items. I’m going to fill up on the main dishes.

The Studio B offers all the traditional buffet favorites as they have a carving station with Roast Beef, Turkey, and Rotisserie Chicken. They have Fried Chicken, BBQ Ribs and many other traditional American favorites.

There are entire sections devoted to each nationality’s favorite dishes. The Italian portion has several pasta dishes to choose from along with fresh baked pizzas. There is nothing better than pizza coming right out of the oven in front of you.

They have one of the biggest selections of Chinese, Japanese, and Korean items. On any given night you are faced with over 200 food choices from all over the world.

I feel Studio B Buffet surpasses the Strip with their desserts. Yes, I have a sweet tooth.

The dessert station at Studio B Buffet has many options from fresh crepes to warm cookies right out of the oven. They even have a large selection of homemade candy concoctions. There are all kinds of fresh pastries as well as a complete gelato station.

As with the free wine and beer, the M Resort offers its guests after dinner specialty coffees available at the dessert bar  – yes, at no extra charge. To me this just adds to the experience of the meal, being able to have a couple glasses of wine with dinner then enjoying a nice cappuccino afterward with your dessert.

You will pay extra on the Strip to enjoy a glass of wine or have a beer, which just makes this buffet such a bargain. From the day M Resort opened it has catered to Las Vegas locals, and Studio B Buffet is, in my opinion, the best buffet off the Strip and among the Top 5 in Las Vegas.

I give Studio B Buffet a rating of 3.75 Forks.
