Carnival Citi doesn’t have a loyalty program for users, but I would like to see one. My User Experience Review

Carnival Citi is a bright and well-formatted social casino, but I have to mark the site down in terms of usability. Though everything looks to work at first glance, I found several broken links and other non-functioning buttons during testing.

For example, video poker and arcade games are unavailable to non-VIP players. Instead of removing these options for some users, the links simply don’t work if you haven’t made a recent purchase of $24.99 or more. It can be difficult to enjoy the full extent of Carnival Citi’s navigation options on a smaller screen.

Having said this, there’s also a lot to like about this social casino. I love the site’s search bar and the available slot categories to browse through. Searching via ‘New’ or ‘Featured’ games is a great place to start if you’re new to the site.

It’s easy to purchase Coins and redeem Sweeps Chips, too. Simply keep an eye on your balance at the top of the page. You’ll find customer support, Carnival Citi terms, and contact options from the left-hand menu.

Carnival Citi Casino App Review

Carnival Citi does not have a dedicated mobile app for iOS or Android players. It’s a shame that users can’t access the same great mobile experience that Pulsz, Chumba, or Hard Rock Social Casino players can.

However, you can play on your smartphone or tablet using Carnival Citi’s mobile website. This is pretty well-optimized for smaller screens, but I found it to be a little slower than using the social casino on desktop.

Carnival Citi has a long way to go before it’s ready to introduce a mobile app to players. However, that isn’t to say most social casinos aren’t in the same boat.

Sites like Hello Millions and CrownCoins are only starting to release app versions of their casinos now. Only the larger sites like Pulsz are ready to go in this sense.

Making purchases is necessary to access Carnival Citi’s range of arcade games, keno, and video poker.

Coins start at $2.99, and there are several packages to choose from. Most purchases come with free Sweeps Chips, which can be played for the chance to redeem prizes.

Carnival Citi does not charge purchase fees, but your bank might. Make sure to check with your provider before buying Coins at any social casino.

Redeeming Prizes at Carnival Citi

Any Sweeps Chips you receive and play through once can be redeemed for prizes.

To request a redemption, you must have a minimum of SC 100,000 in your Available Balance. Calculate this by taking your ‘Unplayed SC’ amount away from your total ‘Balance.’ SC 1,000 can be redeemed for $1, which means SC 100,000 is equivalent to a $100 prize.

This minimum is pretty high, matching the requirements of bigger sites like Chumba and Pulsz. Most social casinos, including Hello Millions and LuckyLand, accept redemptions of $50. This means reaching a redeemable prize at Carnival Citi is more difficult than on similar sites.

Carnival Citi only accepts redemptions via Trustly bank transfer at this time.

Upon redemption, the social casino may ask you to answer several trivia questions to ‘earn’ your prize. Carnival Citi’s support team has confirmed that you must answer correctly to receive your redemption. This is a strange quirk, but you won’t lose your SC if you get your question wrong. My Experience with Carnival Citi Customer Support

Carnival Citi offers three customer support options to players: email, live chat, and phone. I tested all three methods to determine whether the social casino offered reliable support to its users.

I found the casino’s live chat service the best support option for most players. Access it by clicking ‘Contact Us’ in the casino’s main menu and hitting the live chat link. I was immediately put through to an agent, who answered my questions.

Email support was a little slower than live chat support. I waited four hours for a response to our query, which was sent to support@carnivalciti.com.

Unfortunately, Carnival Citi’s phone support line is lacking. I was cut off on the two occasions I attempted to call the team.
