User Experience Review
After a few hours with Kickr, I felt positive about my experience, but there were a few hitches that kept it from truly being a great and user-friendly platform.
First, the good. Kickr is slick. It has a nice look and feel with a dark background behind the sharp and vibrant game thumbnails. Sorting through game categories is incredibly simple and easy, and the categories load the appropriate games in a blink.
Kickr’s menus all work well, too. The left navigation menu includes a few main categories, depending on what your state allows: Sports, Casino, leagues, Leaderboards, and My Picks. Below those, there are more granular options, such as Redeem, Transactions, Profile, Responsible Gameplay, and others.
Meanwhile, a few minor tweaks could fix a lot of Kickr’s negative aspects. I tried to find the option to buy Bits for about 10 minutes before I stumbled on it by complete accident. The bright-orange “Claim Now” button is what opens the purchase page, and it’s off-putting because there’s no mention of purchasing coins on the button itself. Further, that same button took me to a menu in which “Daily Claims” was a second tab. That meant multiple clicks were required to claim my daily bonus. I’d prefer it to be quicker and easier.
Also, from a visual perspective, the game thumbnails are relatively small at Kickr Casino. I’m used to big and bombastic displays at sweepstakes casinos, but Kickr is more reserved in this area. There are a few things to unpack here. First, it’s a bummer that the $8.99 package doesn’t give any free Bucks as a gift. Most sweepstakes sites would add some as a perk to purchasers. Here, it feels like a way to get people to consider a higher package, which is off-putting as a buyer.
Second, the jump from $12.49 to $199.99 is—there’s no better word for it—bonkers. With no prices in between, players have few options for medium-priced Bits offers, and it’s just silly.
