bet365 wants to give sports fans something new to obsess over — and with the 2026 FIFA World Cup now in full swing, the timing could not be better.

The operator officially launched bet365 Fantasy Sports, a free-to-play mobile game available to users in the United States and Canada, coinciding with the opening of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which kicked off June 11.

The move marks bet365’s latest push to expand beyond traditional sports betting and casino games, blending real-world sports with fantasy competition and collectible card gameplay. Think fantasy football meets collectible card games, with a mobile-gaming twist.

How bet365 is reinventing fantasy sports

bet365 Fantasy Sports was developed through an expanding partnership with LOW6, an award-winning global creator of sports betting and gamification platforms.

Unlike traditional daily fantasy contests that often require entry fees, bet365 Fantasy Sports is entirely free to play. Anyone 18 and older in the United States and Canada can download the app and start building teams, excluding Washington state residents.

The app combines collectible athlete card packs, real-player statistics, division-based leaderboards and a training feature that allows users to spend in-game coins to improve athlete attributes. The top prize for the fantasy contest is $50,000.

The strategy behind bet365 fantasy sports

The app is not simply a matter of collecting favorite stars and hoping for the best.

Users build World Cup squads with a $100 million budget, rising to $105 million for the knockout rounds. Goals, tackles, conceded goals, penalty saves and other match events all affect scores. Players receive daily card packs to improve their roster over time, and can train athletes using in-game coins to boost player statistics, tweak lineups and advance through division-based competitions powered by real-world performances.

There is a social element, too. A refer-a-friend program and a subscription tier for additional coins further support engagement.

Why bet365 chose the World Cup to launch fantasy sports

bet365 did not randomly pick June for this launch.

The British sportsbook already offers online sports betting in 17 states and online casino gaming in three. Soccer remains the most bet-on sport globally and a cornerstone of bet365’s customer base, making the World Cup — now in its group stage — the ideal backdrop for a product designed to deepen fan engagement and reach users in markets where full sports betting regulations vary by state.

Trip Stoddard, head of business development at bet365, said the app offers fans a fresh way to connect with the game.

“We’re thrilled to introduce the launch of the bet365 Fantasy Sports app across North America ahead of the World Cup, a tournament deeply valued by our fanbase. Fantasy creates a fresh way for users to engage with the sports they love. By combining real player data with the excitement of collectible pack openings, we’ve created an experience that feels authentic, engaging and unique while allowing bet365 to connect with our fans during one of the biggest moments in global sports.”

World Cup tournament challenge and sportsbook offers

bet365 users can also access the free-to-play World Cup Tournament Challenge, a bracket-style predictor that tasks users with picking group stage and knockout outcomes. The sportsbook is also running World Cup betting promotions, including an Early Payout Offer that triggers a win when a selected team takes a two-goal lead, and a Sub On Play On feature that transfers bets to a substituted player’s replacement.

How LOW6 helped build the bet365 fantasy experience

The app marks another milestone in bet365’s relationship with LOW6. In a bet365 press release, Josh Turk, chief strategy officer at LOW6, described the project as an opportunity to take fan engagement beyond traditional betting.

“bet365 has built one of the world’s most trusted sports betting platforms by consistently delivering exceptional experiences for sports fans. With bet365 Fantasy Sports, we’re excited to help extend fan engagement beyond their core business and into a new category of interactive mobile gaming entertainment.”

With mini-games for the offseason, an intuitive interface and year-round competitions, bet365 Fantasy Sports is positioned as an ad-free mobile experience — and a clear bid to stand apart from established players like DraftKings and FanDuel through collectible cards, training systems and progression mechanics.
