BetMGM Becomes Official Odds Provider for the Associated Press

BetMGM announced on Thursday that it will be the official sports betting odds provider for the Associated Press.

From a press release, the new agreement would display BetMGM’s odds on related sports content, such as scoreboards, game previews, and betting features. There will be no editorial influence from the sportsbook operator.

The new agreement replaces FanDuel as the exclusive odds provider, a partnership that began three years ago.

“It is a special opportunity for BetMGM to align with The Associated Press, a leading global news source that billions around the world rely on for the most up-to-date coverage,” said Matt Prevost, BetMGM Chief Revenue Officer. “Being a trusted resource within that forum is an important connection to expand our reach, and we look forward to providing content that enhances the organization’s coverage.”

Barry Bedlan, the AP’s Director of Global Text and Commercial Products, also noted that the new partnership would “provide a dependable and credible reference point for our customers and audiences.”

BetMGM Expands Visibility After X Partnership, Multiple Events This Week

BetMGM has made many recent moves to set itself apart from the competition. On February 9, the operator also agreed to a partnership with the X social media platform to exclusively show live sports betting odds for events. These odds appear when viewing scores and posts on major professional and college sports.

Earlier this month, the company also announced that enhanced data analytics for MLB and its Grand Slam Jackpot contest have increased home run betting markets by 209%.

In addition to the partnership with the AP this week, BetMGM is also a top sponsor for the Wheel of Fortune in a milestone episode. Their brand will be part of the game’s special progressive jackpot and “Double Jackpot” bonus. The BetMGM 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, part of the NASCAR Xfinity Series, will be underway on Saturday.
