With a focus on providing additional options for female sports fans, DraftKings (DraftKings 38,44 +1,05%) is gradually broadening its product line to include games like basketball, ice hockey, tennis, and soccer.
As of right now, the operator is using the current NWSL season, which started in March and runs through November, as a calculated tool to draw viewers in. Also, with the WNBA season starting on May 14th, DraftKings expects a spike in interest in women’s sports. On top of that, the buzz is anticipated to peak during the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, which runs from July 26 to August 11.

Over the course of the last year, DraftKings has significantly expanded its coverage by incorporating more than 200 women’s sports leagues into its platform.

A New Show Is Coming to DraftKings Network
A one-hour weekly show led by female athletes will debut on DraftKings Network as a new addition to its sports programming schedule.
“Good Follow,” a new show that will debut on June 7th at 8 p.m. EST, intends to bring options of viewpoints to the sports industry. In her role as host, renowned content producer Megan Reyes will emcee news updates, pre-produced features, and lively conversations around women’s sports. Former TSU golfer Logan Hackett will be joining her to provide commentary on the week’s main sports events.
Stacie McCollum, DraftKings’ Vice President of Content expressed her delight at the company’s expansion into women’s sports. She highlighted that the show will reflect the increasing interest seen from customers across all of their offerings.
“Engagement with women’s sports is at an all-time high, and we couldn’t be more excited to expand our programming to include a women-centric sports show to our content portfolio. At the core, a ‘Good Follow’ is someone who unapologetically moves culture forward within or adjacent to women’s sports. Leading up to its premiere on DraftKings Network, the upcoming program will be featured across various social media platforms, such as TikTok, Instagram, X, and Facebook, offering daily doses of women’s sports content.
This comprehensive coverage will include highlights from the WNBA Draft scheduled for April 15, set to unfold at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in New York. Lucy Rohden and other contributors from Meadowlark Media will be on-site, capturing exclusive content and conducting interviews with the draft picks as they embark on their journey into the league.
