This week, FanDuel announced the release of “My Spend,” a responsible gaming dashboard that lets customers track their spending and see stats about their gambling habits.
FanDuel Vice President of Responsible Gaming and Community Impact Alison Kutler said the new dashboard was borne out of the company’s belief customers should gamble on a budget and plan out their spending.
“We are thrilled to introduce My Spend to help customers track their spending and manage their play. As we look to continuously raise the standard for what it means to be a responsible operator, we look forward to continuing to bring new and innovative ways [to] support our customers.” — FanDuel responsible gaming VP Alison Kutler
My Spend is available on FanDuel’s sportsbook, casino, fantasy, racing, and faceoff platforms.
New dashboard gives players numerous ways to analyze their betting habits
My Spend provides an array of statistics and data tracking, including the following:
- Amount deposited over the past seven days, four weeks, or three months.
- Net winnings over the past seven days, four weeks, or three months.
- Bar charts showing monthly deposit amounts at FanDuel’s sportsbook, casino, fantasy, racing, and faceoff platforms.
- Option to set a monthly deposit budget.
- Option to set a monthly loss limit.
FanDuel will release an ad to promote My Spend, too. The spot likens gambling without tracking your metrics to holding a 3-point-style shooting contest in the dark.
“Make FanDuel’s My Spend a part of your system,” the conclusion of the ad says, “and stop shooting in the dark.”
FanDuel’s RG efforts continue to grow
In March, FanDuel announced it had partnered with responsible gaming firm Kindbridge Behavioral Health to offer complimentary mental health services to gamblers in New Jersey and Ohio, two of the biggest legal sports betting markets in the country. Additionally, the program connects players in New Jersey and Ohio with support groups in those states.
That same month, FanDuel was a founding member of a responsible gaming initiative: the Responsible Online Gaming Association. The association, among other things, performs research, provides responsible gaming education, and has an independent certification program.
FanDuel’s Kindbridge partnership, ROGA membership, and My Spend dashboard are part of the company’s responsible gaming program. The program, among other things, encourages gamblers to set deposit, spending, and time limits; never borrow money to gamble or chase losses; and remember that gambling is entertainment, not a way to get rich.
