NASCAR will offer live in-race micro betting to its events later this year, as a result of a partnership between nVenue and Amelco sports betting technology.
Fanatics and Hard Rock Bet are the two most prominent sportsbooks that use the Amelco platform. According to nVenue, the micro-betting capabilities will be available for select NASCAR races within a few months.
With micro betting, consumers can wager on specific aspects of a larger sporting event in real time. It’s likely that most fans will be able to get the feature on Fanatics, which is more common than Hard Rock Bet sports betting app currently. Both are powered by technology from gaming company nVenue and the platform provider Amelco.
Amelco Ltd. is a software development company specializing in gaming platforms, based in London, England.
Dallas-based nVenue is a streaming technology company that has developed a rapid tool for providing updates and odds on live events for micro betting. According to its website, the company is “powering the next-generation of live betting and media experiences.” They have agreements to use their products with the NFL, NBA, and MLB.
Both FOX Bet and Fubo sports betting sites used Amelco, but neither are operating now in the United States. Reportedly, WynnBET is also powered by Amelco, but that sportsbook is in limited availability in North America and has been shuttering its business in some markets.
Last year in August, nVenue and NASCAR entered into a partnership to “develop in-race micro-betting markets and predictive content for race fans nationwide,” according to a press statement.
“It is a terrific match: nVenue brings the real-time predictive sports platform designed for micro-bets and media, and NASCAR brings the mind-share and reach of a league ready to innovate leveled-up fan experiences,” said CEO and Co-Founder of nVenue Kelly Pracht at the time. “We predict this industry-first collaboration will be significantly beneficial not only for sportsbooks and media, but also for NASCAR’s base of knowledgeable, and new fans.”
“This collaboration epitomizes a shared vision to entertain fans and enhance the race viewing experience,” NASCAR managing director of sports betting Joe Solosky said.
