Scientific Games will supply the Kansas Lottery with its instant game management program, enhancing the partnership between the two. The new deal aims to increase sales performance and create more funding for state programs.
Under the enhanced game management program, Scientific Games will feature portfolio management, game planning services, data analytics, advanced logistics, and marketing support. In addition, its SciQ retail ecosystem provides real-time sales analytics to improve inventory management. Essentially, the company will help plan and optimize lottery games and increase its reach across the state.
“We are excited to advance our collaboration with Scientific Games through this expanded partnership,” Stephen Durrell, Executive Director of the Kansas Lottery, said in a press release. “The track record of this technology-driven program is promising, and it provides an opportunity for us to grow the performance of our entire game portfolio.”
John Schulz, President Americas and Global Instant Products for Scientific Games, said the partnership “will expertly manage instant products across its network of approximately 1,700 retailers using data analytics.”
The Scientific Games Enhanced Partnership program in Kansas is set for five years, with the option to extend it another five years. The company has provided the lottery with its systems technology since 2018.

New York Lottery Extends Relationship With Scientific Games
Over 20 lotteries utilize the enhanced partnership program with Scientific Games. Two weeks ago, the New York Lottery extended its contract with the company. Their partnership dates back to 1976.
Primarily, Scientific Games powers the scratch-off games for New York. In total, $3.7 billion was contributed to the Lottery Aid for Education at the conclusion of the 2022-23 fiscal year.
Around the same time as the New York announcement, Scientific Games debuted the first scratch-off game featuring a Game of Thrones theme in the United States. The game was first available under the Colorado Lottery.
