New Jersey iGaming revenue surpassed $2 billion year-to-date in September, putting the state on track to break its calendar-year record for total revenue. Revenue rose 22.78% year-over-year, jumping nearly $400 million.

New Jersey’s strong 2025 performance further solidifies its position as one of the premier gaming states in the country.

New Jersey online casino revenue nears $250M in September

Combined, New Jersey’s online casinos generated $243.1 million in revenue in September:

CasinoSeptember Gross RevenueTotal 2025 Gross Revenue

$25,328,071
Total$243,122,442$2,124,090,227

Goldent Nugget, Resorts, and Borgata accounted for more than 76% of the state’s online gaming revenue. Month-over-month, revenue fell 2.12%. However, year-over-year revenue increased 16.8%.

Here’s how September’s figures compared to the first eight months of the year:

September$243,122,442-2.11%
August$248,372,8230.43%
July$247,298,5067.19%
June$230,706,103-6.53%
May$246,824,2424.96%
April$235,152,8831.85%
March$230,892,37113.48%
February$203,473,581-8.18%
January$221,603,883N/A

September was only the second month this year that online gaming revenue dipped. The decline was understandable, as online casinos posted their highest August revenue in history. Additionally, September marked the fourth time since May that monthly revenue exceeded $240 million.

Will New Jersey’s iGaming revenue hit $3B for the first time?

As the state heads into the fall and winter months, one number will likely be on the minds of New Jersey online casino operators and regulators: $3 billion.

The state’s online casinos have never generated more than $3 billion in a year. Can they do it in 2025? It’s possible, but unlikely. Online gaming would need to post 10% growth each month through the end of the year to surpass $3 billion.

That said, New Jersey online casinos are on track to surpass 2024’s record total revenue of $2.4 billion by the end of November. Based on PlayUSA’s projections, New Jersey iGaming could finish the year with nearly $2.9 billion in revenue.

Even if the state doesn’t hit the coveted $3 billion mark this year, historical trends suggest it should easily do so in 2026.
