UFC on ESPN 54 Betting Preview: Blanchfield vs. Fiorot

Erin Blanchfield (12-1 MMA, 6-0 UFC) has been a rising star in the women’s flyweight division since joining the UFC in 2021.

The 24-year-old has already notched a win over former champion Jessica Andrade, put a stop to Molly McCann’s hype train with a nasty kimura submission, and achieved a decision over Taila Santos that sent her to the PFL.

While her striking is improving with experience, it’s no secret that Blanchfield thrives on the ground. She wrestles stubbornly yet efficiently and has the ability to snatch a limb at any point against most of her division.

Her only loss came from Tracy Cortez when the two were still fighting in Invicta FC.

Manon Fiorot (11-1 MMA, 6-0 UFC) is 10 years older than Blanchfield but has had an impressive streak of her own. Her only loss was from her first-ever pro MMA fight against Bellator’s Leah McCourt when the two fought for the Cage Warriors promotion.

Since then, she has added wins to her resume including Rose Namajunas, Mayra Bueno Silva, Jennifer Maia, Tabatha Ricci, and more.

She is also more proven on the feet than Blanchfield with six KO/TKO wins in her career. However, she has zero submission wins.

This is a true classic striker vs. grappler MMA fight and over five rounds, this fight is sure to give us a little bit of everything.
