DraftKings has announced the rebranding of DK Horse to DraftKings Racing, while simultaneously expanding the service into Delaware, New Mexico, and Rhode Island. The expansion brings the company’s horse race betting product to 26 states.
The new DraftKings Racing user experience
According to a company press release, DraftKings Racing is now embedded directly within the DraftKings flagship app. The integration includes new features such as shared wallet functionality and integrated promotions, allowing users to wager across different products seamlessly.
Johnny Avello, DraftKings’ director of race and sports operations, said moving horse racing into the primary app offers bettors better accessibility.
“With Triple Crown season approaching, we’re bringing DraftKings Racing to three new states at the perfect time to deliver an unmatched horse racing experience,” Avello said.
“By offering horse racing directly within the DraftKings Sportsbook app, we’re making it more convenient for customers to enjoy racing alongside their other favorite sports — all in one place, with one wallet and a more streamlined experience.”
The path to DraftKings Sports & Casino
DK Horse will continue to operate as a standalone app in states where it is currently live, but will be phased out as DraftKings Racing rolls out in those jurisdictions.
The integration comes as the company nears the launch of DraftKings Sports & Casino, a unified platform set to offer sportsbook markets, casino gaming, prediction contracts, and lotteries.
