Kambi Group expects its AI-powered trading technology to generate an estimated 18 million additional accepted bets in 2026.
CEO Werner Becher outlined the forecast on an earnings call following the company’s third-quarter results. Kambi expects those additional accepted bets to generate more revenue for the company and its sportsbook partners.
AI Makes Bet-Delay Decisions in Real Time
Kambi is moving away from fixed in-play delays toward decisions made for each individual bet, Becher said.
The AI system considers the current match situation, the bet type and Kambi’s confidence in its risk management systems. It then decides whether to accept the bet immediately.
Almost 60% of bets handled by Kambi’s AI trading system are now accepted with zero-second delays.
“The result for the end user is a better experience, with their bets increasingly accepted as soon as they submit,” Becher said.
Kambi Targets 90% AI Coverage by Year-End
Approximately 85% of all bets are currently processed through Kambi’s AI-powered system. The company aims to increase that share to 90% by the end of 2026.
Kambi said NBA bet rejections fell 32% year-on-year following its basketball AI trading rollout in October.
“Our trading system, fuelled by vast data, really is driving improvements across the board. It is delivering a better product and higher margin,” Becher said.
Kambi is currently rolling out the AI trading system for American football and table tennis.
