World Series Game 5 props and home run bets feature each team’s starting pitcher plus bats from both sides.
The Astros and Phillies are tied at two games apiece, with each team delivering a pitching masterpiece in Games 3 and 4.
For Game 5, future Hall of Famer Justin Verlander takes the hill for Houston against Philadelphia’s Noah Syndergaard. At one time, this matchup may have screamed “pitcher’s duel”. Today, however, there’s reason to anticipate some offensive fireworks.
The industry’s top sportsbooks offer plenty of Game 5 World Series props. We offer suggestions, but there’s no substitute for taking a look around for yourself.

Home Run Picks, Player Props for Game 5 of World Series
Yordan Alvarez Over 1.5 Total Bases (+115, Caesars)
Alvarez has struggled since Games 1 and 2 of the ALDS vs. Seattle, but he appears to be gathering his footing. His single to left-center in his first at-bat is an encouraging development — opposite-field hits often serve as a sign that a hitter is finding his timing. He also “drove” in a run via hit-by-pitch, which admittedly has little to do with finding one’s stroke. Baseball is a funny game, though. Sometimes simply being involved in the action is enough to maintain or boost confidence. Don’t be shocked to see the true Alvarez continue to reemerge against Noah Syndergaard.

Kyle Schwarber Over 0.5 Home Runs (+330, DraftKings)
Schwarber will set the tone in Game 5 after he and his buddies were no-hit in Game 4. We’re not suggesting he trots around the bases his first at-bat (although, he’s +1000 at DK to be the first to leave the yard). We do like the matchup with Justin Verlander, though. Schwarber, unsurprisingly, handles right-handers better than he does southpaws, and he’s also a good fastball hitter facing a pitcher who remains proud of his heater.
Alex Bregman Over 1.5 Total Bases (+140, BetMGM)
Bregman appears on the cusp of carrying the Astros through the remainder of the series. After finishing Game 3 with an 11-pitch walk, Bregman delivered a big two-run opposite-field double in Game 4. Bregman worked the right side of the diamond for two of his outs as well. We like Bregman’s chances vs. Syndergaard, who isn’t the intimidating flame-thrower he was early in his career.

Justin Verlander Under 5.5 Strikeouts (+115, DraftKings) | Under 6.5 Strikeouts (-146, FanDuel)
We touched on Verlander’s relative struggles in big spots, including postseason. Not only is Verlander making his first road start of the playoffs, but the Phillies will have confidence after getting to him in Game 1.

And with respect to Verlander’s greatness, it will be refreshing for the Phillies to see someone — anyone — different from Cristian Javier, who tossed six innings of Game 4’s combined no-hitter. Bettors willing to put a bit more money on the line can get a more strikeout cushion at FanDuel Sportsbook.
Noah Syndergaard Under 2.5 Strikeouts (-128, FanDuel)
Game 5 is a scary situation for Phillies fans with Syndergaard on the hill. He’s a much more contact-oriented pitcher these days, which isn’t always an easy transition for a former phenom who could blow away opposing lineups with pure power. With the exception of Game 3, the Astros’ bats have been lively. Not only do they consistently put the bat on the ball, but they’re a threat to jump on Syndergaard early and treat him to an early shower.
