It will soon be even easier to keep track of baseball scores, watch live MLB games, and bet on those games from one place. Major League Baseball and DraftKings today revealed that they will be partnering to stream select live games to the DraftKings app for mobile sports bettors. The product will be called “Bet & Watch.”
The deal will also result in collaboration between MLB and DraftKings on other baseball and sports wagering content. The two parties already have a deal in place for Daily Fantasy Sports. In the future, DraftKings will have access to exclusive content relating to baseball betting for their apps or sportsbooks.
How Will “Bet & Watch” Work?
According to details released today in a joint statement, DraftKings and MLB will coordinate to stream select baseball games to fans via a DraftKings mobile app. Fans will need to have a active accounts with both MLB.com and DraftKings to access the “Bet & Watch” feature.
It’s unclear in what manner DraftKings customers will be able to bet on the live game as they watch it, or whether they will be offered specials or parlays live betting odds only available to “Bet & Watch” users.
The integration of live games into the DraftKings app will make it convenient for sports bettors to keep tabs on their bets while also viewing live baseball action within the same application.
Other MLB And DraftKings Collaborations
In addition to their partnership in streaming live games to the DraftKings app, MLB will collaborate and include content from DraftKings betting experts in future MLB.TV products.
DraftKings remains the exclusive Official Daily Fantasy Sports partner of Major League Baseball, and they enjoy prominent positioning on MLB.com for Daily Fantasy Baseball products.
The announcement today cements the relationship between MLB and DraftKings, which is one of two co-exclusive Official Sports Betting Partners of MLB, with BetMGM. In addition, MLB announced that DraftKings will become an Official Sports Betting Partner throughout the MLB Postseason, as well as have brand exposure and activation opportunities during all MLB “Jewel” Events, including the 2021 T-Mobile Home Run Derby.
