There is no Fanatics Markets promo code. The welcome offer is credited to new users automatically, and recent sources describe three different versions of it, so the number you read on one page may not be the one you see in the app.

What Fanatics Markets Is

Fanatics Markets is a prediction market app from the Fanatics group, launched in December 2025. You trade yes or no event contracts on outcomes in sports, culture, finance and politics. It is not a sportsbook.

Contracts are currently listed on an exchange operated by Crypto.com’s US derivatives arm. Trading carries risk and you can lose your whole stake. Do not trade money you cannot afford to lose.

Offers change. Check the terms in the Fanatics Markets app before you trade.

Why the figures disagree

Sources currently report three different structures:

  • Up to $170 over 10 days, with the daily match climbing across the window. This was the structure we covered earlier.
  • Up to $75 as a first-trade match, after a $10 deposit.
  • Up to $150 over 14 days, reported on 1 October.

Either the offer has been changed more than once in recent weeks, or it varies by user or sign-up route. We cannot tell which from outside the app, so treat any number, including ours, as a snapshot.

How the Trade Match Works

You complete identity verification, then place qualifying trades during the window. For each day’s opening trade, Fanatics credits a matching amount in FanCash. The daily cap rises as the window goes on, and the whole promotion stops at its overall cap.

Two catches matter. The FanCash does not convert to cash, and it expires after seven days if you do not use it. A bonus that must be spent on trades means you are risking money to use it, so only claim it if you would trade anyway.

Where Fanatics Markets Is Available

The company said on 27 July that Fanatics Markets was live in 23 states and four US territories, available on iOS, Android and the web. Listings at launch named 24 states, including California, Texas, Florida, Washington, Georgia, Alabama and Wisconsin.

Most states with long-established sports betting markets are not on the list. New York is not one of them. If you want a sportsbook in New York, see our NY betting apps guide.

The Legal Picture

Prediction markets list sports contracts under federal commodities rules, and states argue those contracts are really sports bets. That disagreement is now heading to the Supreme Court.

  • Third Circuit, April: sided with Kalshi, treating sports contracts as federally regulated swaps.
  • Ninth Circuit, 28 August: held that sports event contracts are likely not swaps, so Nevada can enforce its gaming laws. Kalshi asked the full court to rehear the case on 9 September.
  • New Jersey, 2 September: asked the Supreme Court to decide. The petition was docketed on 8 September.
  • Ninth Circuit, 16 September: ruled for two tribes who argue sports contracts are unauthorised gaming on tribal land.

What happens next could change which contracts are offered and where. We cover the developments in our sports prediction markets coverage, and nothing here is legal advice.

The Water Street Labs Deal

On 27 July, Fanatics agreed to buy Water Street Labs, a federally registered exchange, and CX Clearinghouse from BGC Group. Owning both would let Fanatics list and clear its own contracts instead of relying on a partner.

No price or closing date was disclosed, and we found no confirmation that the deal has completed. If it has, the app’s exchange details and terms may change.

How It Differs From a Sportsbook

  • You trade, not bet. You buy and sell contracts at prices set by other traders.
  • You can exit early. Contracts can be sold before the event ends.
  • Different rules. Prediction markets are federally regulated, and the minimum age is usually 18, where sportsbooks are 21. Confirm the minimum age in the app.
  • Different bonuses. Fanatics Sportsbook has its own offers. They do not apply here.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a Fanatics Markets promo code?

No. The welcome trade match is applied automatically, and any site listing a code is guessing.

How much is the Fanatics Markets welcome offer?

The latest report is a FanCash trade match of up to $150 over 14 days. Earlier sources reported up to $170 over 10 days and up to $75 on a first trade, so check the app.

Can I withdraw the FanCash?

No. FanCash is not withdrawable and expires after seven days. It can be used for further trades.

Which states is Fanatics Markets in?

Around two dozen, including California, Texas, Florida and Washington. The company said 23 states and four territories on 27 July. New York is not included.

Is Fanatics Markets legal?

It operates under federal commodities regulation. The legal status of sports event contracts is being contested in the courts and is heading to the Supreme Court.

Is Fanatics Markets the same as Fanatics Sportsbook?

No. Sportsbook is a licensed betting app available in states with legal sports betting, including New York. Fanatics Markets is a prediction market and its offers are separate.

Fanatics Markets is a prediction market and not a sportsbook. Event contract trading involves significant risk and is not appropriate for everyone. You can lose your entire stake. Eligibility, minimum age and availability vary, so check the terms in the app. Offers change and FanCash is not withdrawable. This article is informational and is not financial or legal advice.
