FanDuel Kicks off FanFuel Extra Kick Coffee Ahead of Women’s World Cup

Coffee and sports betting make a novel — but perhaps mutually beneficial — partnership. Caffeine might very well help the brain process those micro bets quicker and keep the app thumb spry.

FanDuel is testing the theory in a brand-awareness pitch heading into the FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand. Kicking off on July 20, the tournament will run until August 20 and FanDuel is looking to rally support for the United States Women’s National Team (USWNT).

The premise: all those fans attempting to stay up for, and root for USWNT as they pursue a third straight title, will need a little boost. So, here comes FanFuel Extra Kick Coffee. Fans can root for their team overnight, bet on Women’s World Cup odds, and jumpstart their day with the caffeine boost.

Fanduel Teams up With Female-Owned North Edge Craft Coffee

Launched in conjunction with female-owned roastery North Edge Craft Coffee, the limited-edition blend will be available to adults 21+ at FanFuel trucks in big cities across the US, including New York, Boston, Columbus, and Kansas City. The campaign kicks off on July 20.

According to a press release, Extra Kick Coffee will also be available for purchase at FanDuel.com.

Fans should also be able to track the coffee trucks during their visits to Massachusetts, Ohio, New York, and Missouri, which is the only state among the destinations without legal sports betting.

“The USWNT is primed for a three-peat, but the upcoming international tournament presents a challenge for some US fans who may find it difficult to tune in. That’s where FanDuel comes in,” — Jennifer Matthews, VP Brand Strategy, FanDuel.
