Commanders vs. Bears TNF Week 6 Player Props

Carson Wentz Over 32.5 Pass Attempts (-110, DraftKings)

The weather conditions won’t be ideal in Chicago, but it’s difficult to imagine the Commanders straying too far from the passing tendencies they’ve established. Week 5 was the first of the season in which Wentz attempted fewer than 40 passes.

Even if he sees another dip in attempts on Thursday night, it will take a significant shift in the game plan to prevent the Over. Bettors should also consider how much, if any, they expect Ron Rivera’s early week comments to influence Wentz’s pass volume.

Justin Fields Under 23.5 Pass Attempts (-105, BetMGM)

Fields’ season-high in pass attempts is 22, and the Bears seem happy to leave the training wheels on their young signal-caller.

If the weather is as cool and breezy as the forecast suggests, the Bears will have extra incentive to keep a very tight leash on Fields’ passing work. Factor in the short week of preparation, and it’s reasonable to expect another conservative offensive approach.

David Montgomery Over 78.5 Rushing + Receiving Yards (-114, FanDuel)

Montgomery returned from a one-game absence and showed off his versatility. It wasn’t his prettiest performance, but he totaled 82 yards on 16 touches. Another busy day should be in the cards for Montgomery, both as a runner and a target in the passing game.

Curtis Samuel Over 4.5 Receptions (-109, Caesars)

Samuel leads the Commanders’ passing game with a 22% target share. Given the nature of his short-area targets, his 71.1% catch rate is no surprise. Samuel is averaging nine looks per game and has drawn as many as 11. Another game with a healthy dose of short targets will allow him to rack up the receptions he needs to hit the Over.

Joey Slye Over 1.5 Made Field Goals (+112, Caesars)

Caesars sets the total for this contest at 38, so we’re not anticipating much scoring. Slye’s stats up to this point don’t suggest optimism for multiple field goal conversions — his high in attempts is one. Thursday night’s contest has the look of a field goal fest though, and it’s likely the Commanders call on Slye for increased production.
