Webull is a Safe and Regulated Prediction Market
Why Choose Webull Prediction in August 2026?
  • Kalshi-Powered, CFTC-Regulated Contracts | Every event contract on the platform is listed and cleared by Kalshi, the first CFTC-registered Designated Contract Market for prediction markets, with Webull Futures LLC acting as the CFTC-registered Futures Commission Merchant standing between you and the exchange.
  • One Login for Stocks, Options, Crypto and Event Contracts | Because Event Contract accounts sit inside the same unified Webull login as equities, options, futures and crypto, funding a prediction-market position doesn't require opening a separate app or wiring money to a new provider.
  • Flat, Disclosed Per-Contract Pricing | As of this writing, Webull discloses a straightforward $0.01-per-contract, per-side exchange fee plus a $0.01-per-contract, per-side platform fee — a cost structure that's easier to estimate up front than spread-based pricing on some rival apps.

Webull built its name on commission-free stocks and options, and it’s now applying that same playbook to prediction markets. Through a partnership with Kalshi, the CFTC-regulated exchange, Webull lets traders who already have a brokerage account buy “Yes” or “No” contracts on everything from Federal Reserve decisions to Sunday’s NFL slate — without ever leaving the app they use for stocks and crypto. This review breaks down how Webull Prediction Markets actually works, what it costs, which markets are on the board, and how it stacks up against the six operators traders compare it to most.

New Webull traders can currently earn a $20 cash bonus for placing a first prediction-market trade of $20 or more, on top of the account-wide promotions (fractional shares, a free month of Webull Premium, referral credit) that apply to the broader brokerage account. Promo terms on trading apps shift often, so treat every dollar figure in this review as accurate as of this writing and double-check the current offer inside the app before funding your account.

What Is Webull Prediction Markets?

Webull Prediction Markets is the event-contract trading feature built into the main Webull investing app, powered by a February 2025 partnership between Webull and Kalshi. Rather than building its own exchange from scratch, Webull connected its brokerage infrastructure to Kalshi’s existing CFTC-regulated market, giving its roughly 20 million registered users a way to trade binary outcomes alongside the stocks, options, futures and crypto they already hold. If you’ve used Kalshi directly, the underlying contracts will look familiar — Webull is essentially a second storefront onto the same regulated exchange, similar to how Robinhood also plugs into Kalshi’s order books.

Every market on the platform works the same way: you buy a “Yes” or “No” position on a stated outcome, priced anywhere from $0.01 to $0.99 based on the market’s current probability estimate. If your side is correct at settlement, the contract resolves to $1.00; if it’s wrong, it resolves to $0.00. You aren’t required to hold to settlement — Webull lets you sell a position early to lock in a gain or cut a loss the moment the market moves, which is closer to trading a security than placing a traditional fixed-odds bet.

Event Contract Accounts vs. Your Regular Webull Account

Prediction-market access lives inside a separate “Event Contract” account layer that existing Webull users apply for from within the app — it isn’t automatically bundled with a standard brokerage or crypto account. That distinction matters for regulatory reasons covered in the next section, and it also means your first prediction-market trade will require its own short application and approval step even if you’ve traded stocks on Webull for years.

Is Webull Prediction Markets Legit and Where Is It Available?

Yes — Webull Prediction Markets operates through a legitimate, federally regulated structure, but it’s worth understanding exactly who regulates what before you fund an account. The contracts themselves are listed and cleared by Kalshi, the first CFTC-registered Designated Contract Market for event trading, while Webull Futures LLC — a CFTC-registered Futures Commission Merchant and NFA member — is the entity that actually holds your funds and routes your orders. That’s two layers of federal oversight rather than one, which is a meaningfully different setup from offshore or crypto-native prediction markets that operate outside U.S. derivatives law.

Regulatory Status

Because event contracts are traded through a futures-style account rather than a securities brokerage account, they are not covered by SIPC protection the way your Webull stock and ETF holdings are. That’s standard across every CFTC-regulated prediction-market operator — Kalshi, Robinhood, and the platforms covered in our prediction markets guide all draw the same distinction — but it’s easy to miss if you’re used to thinking of Webull purely as a stock brokerage.

State Availability

Webull’s core brokerage is available in all 50 states, and that general nationwide footprint carries over to prediction markets. The exception is sports-related event contracts specifically: as of this writing, a handful of states with their own sports-wagering statutes — commonly cited states include Arizona, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Montana, Nevada and Ohio — restrict or exclude sports contracts even though non-sports categories like economics and crypto remain tradable. This is the same patchwork restriction pattern you’ll see on every Kalshi-linked app, including FanDuel Predicts and Crypto.com, so check the in-app market list for your state rather than assuming full access. For a broader look at how these restrictions compare to traditional sports betting, our prediction markets vs. sportsbooks guide is a useful starting point.

How to Get Started With Webull Prediction Markets

Getting set up takes longer than it does on a sportsbook app, mostly because you're opening a federally regulated futures-style account rather than just registering an email and password. Budget 15-20 minutes if you're a brand-new Webull user, or just a few minutes if you already have a funded Webull brokerage account and simply need to add Event Contract access.

1

Download the Webull app and verify your phone number

New users start with SMS verification before creating a password and choosing an account type.

2

Complete the registration form

Webull collects standard broker-dealer information — legal name, address, Social Security number, employment details and investment experience.

3

E-sign your account agreements and complete identity verification (KYC)

Expect to upload a government-issued ID as part of this step.

4

Apply for an Event Contract account

This is a separate application from your standard brokerage or crypto account, and it’s where Webull confirms your eligibility to trade Kalshi-listed contracts through Webull Futures LLC.

5

Fund your account

Debit card funding is typically the fastest way to get tradable cash into a new account; ACH and wire transfers are also available (full breakdown in the deposits and withdrawals section below).

6

Place your first trade

A first prediction-market trade of $20 or more currently unlocks Webull’s $20 welcome bonus, though as with any promo, confirm the live terms in-app since offers change.

If you’d rather understand the mechanics before committing real money, our prediction markets strategies guide walks through how to read contract pricing as implied probability, which is the single most useful mental model to have before your first trade.

How to Place a Trade on Webull Prediction Markets

Once your Event Contract account is approved and funded, placing a trade follows a similar flow to placing a limit order on a stock — which makes sense, since Webull is layering its existing order-entry tools on top of Kalshi’s exchange rather than building a betting-slip interface from scratch.

  1. Find a market. Browse by category (Sports, Crypto, Financials, Economics, Culture, Climate, or Science & Tech) or search for a specific event.
  2. Pick a side. Every market reduces to a binary choice — buy “Yes” if you think the outcome will happen, or “Yes” on the “No” side if you think it won’t.
  3. Review the price. Contract prices run from $0.01 to $0.99 and represent the market’s implied probability — a contract trading at $0.65 implies roughly 65% odds of that outcome, before fees.
  4. Enter your order. Webull’s Event Contract accounts use limit orders, so you’re setting the maximum price you’re willing to pay (or minimum you’ll accept to sell), not a market order that fills at any price.
  5. Confirm and monitor. Once filled, your position can be held to settlement — where it resolves to $1 or $0 — or sold early if the market moves in or against your favor before the event concludes.

Because these are exchange-traded contracts and not fixed-odds wagers, the price you see is only ever an estimate of what the market believes, not a bookmaker’s line. That’s a genuinely different skill set from picking sides against a sportsbook, and it’s worth reading a full explainer before sizing up your first position.

What Markets Can You Trade on Webull?

Webull organizes its event contracts into seven categories, and the depth varies quite a bit by category — sports, crypto and macroeconomic markets get the most attention and liquidity, while culture, climate and science & tech contracts tend to be thinner and less frequently updated. That’s a common pattern across every Kalshi-linked app, not something unique to Webull, but it’s worth knowing before you go looking for a niche market that might not exist yet.

CategoryExample Markets
🏈 SportsNFL, NBA and MLB game winners; tournament futures; multi-leg combo contracts
₿ CryptoHourly Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP and Solana up/down contracts
📈 FinancialsHourly S&P 500 and Nasdaq directional (up/down) contracts
🏛️ EconomicsFederal Reserve rate decisions, CPI inflation prints, jobs reports, GDP releases
🎬 CultureAwards shows and entertainment milestone contracts
🌡️ ClimateTemperature and weather-threshold contracts
🔬 Science & TechProduct launch and technology milestone contracts

The sports category covers single-game winners, tournament futures and combo-style contracts that let you bundle multiple legs together, while the standout niche product is Webull’s lineup of hourly index and crypto contracts — short-duration “Yes/No” markets on whether the S&P 500, Nasdaq, Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple or Solana will be up or down at the top of the next hour. Economics contracts (Fed rate decisions, CPI prints, jobs reports, GDP releases) round out the most actively traded corner of the platform, and they overlap heavily with the economy and politics categories we track across the industry. Culture markets — awards shows, entertainment milestones and other pop-culture events — exist but see noticeably less volume than the sports and finance verticals.

Webull Prediction Markets App and Platform Review

Webull’s core investing app is genuinely well-reviewed — both the iOS and Android versions carry ratings north of 4.5 stars across hundreds of thousands of reviews — and prediction-market trading inherits that same charting engine, watchlist system and order-entry UI. That’s a real edge for anyone who already trades stocks or crypto on Webull, since there’s no new interface to learn. It’s also worth noting up front that platform parity between mobile, desktop and web is not equal for event contracts specifically.

Mobile App

The Webull mobile app on iOS and Android carries full access to every prediction-market category, and it’s the platform Webull clearly designs the Event Contracts experience around first. If you plan to trade prediction markets on Webull at all, the mobile app is the version to use.

Desktop Platform

Webull’s downloadable desktop programs for Windows, macOS and Ubuntu are a genuine differentiator versus most prediction-market apps, which are mobile-only. That said, as of this writing, desktop event-contract functionality skews toward the hourly index and crypto markets rather than the full category list available on mobile, so active desktop traders may find themselves switching to a phone for sports or culture markets.

Web Platform

Full prediction-market trading is not consistently available through Webull’s browser-based web app as of this writing. If you’re comparing Webull specifically for a browser-first experience, it’s worth confirming current web support before opening an account for that reason alone.

Webull Prediction Markets Deposits and Withdrawals

Because Event Contract accounts share Webull’s brokerage-wide banking infrastructure, funding one works the same way as funding a stock or crypto account — there’s no separate cashier specific to prediction markets. That’s convenient if you’re already a Webull user, though it also means the same processing times and fees you’d see moving money for stock trading apply here too.

MethodDeposit FeeWithdrawal FeeTypical Speed
💳 Debit Card$0$0Near-instant to 30 minutes (deposit); short hold before withdrawal
🏦 ACH Bank Transfer$0$03-4 business days (deposit); 2-3 business days (withdrawal)
🔌 Wire Transfer (Domestic)$8$25Up to 1 business day (deposit); 1-2 business days (withdrawal)

Debit card funding is the fastest way to get tradable cash into a new account, typically landing in minutes, though funds moved this way are usually subject to a short holding period before they’re eligible for withdrawal — a standard anti-fraud measure across the brokerage industry, not something unique to Webull. ACH transfers are fee-free in both directions but take several business days to clear, and domestic wire transfers are the fastest large-dollar option at the cost of an $8 incoming fee and a $25 outgoing fee, as of this writing. There’s no minimum account balance required to open an Event Contract account, and the smallest possible trade is limited only by contract pricing, which starts at one cent per contract.

Webull Prediction Markets vs. The Competition

Webull is one of roughly a half-dozen mainstream apps now offering Kalshi-linked or independently regulated event contracts, and the differences between them come down to what each parent company already does well — brokerage tools, sportsbook UX, crypto rails, or raw market breadth. Here’s how six of the most-compared operators stack up on their own merits.

Webull vs. FanDuel Predicts

FanDuel Predicts is the prediction-market product built on CME Group’s exchange infrastructure and offered as a standalone app alongside FanDuel’s sportsbook, with contracts spanning sports, finance, economics and culture. Full breakdown in our FanDuel Predicts review.

FanDuel Predicts Pros

  • Familiar Brand, New Product | FanDuel's sportsbook-style design language carries over, which shortens the learning curve for the millions of bettors who already have a FanDuel account, even though Predicts is a legally distinct exchange-traded product.
  • CME-Backed Exchange Infrastructure | Contracts run through CME Group's exchange rather than Kalshi, giving FanDuel a different regulatory and clearing lineage than Webull, Robinhood and the other Kalshi-linked apps.

FanDuel Predicts Cons

  • Standalone App Requirement | Predicts lives in its own separate app from the main FanDuel Sportsbook, so there's no single unified login the way Webull bundles stocks, crypto and event contracts together.
  • Early-Stage Rough Edges | As a newer product built quickly to meet a fast-moving market, users have reported occasional lag and thinner rules documentation than more established exchanges.

Webull vs. Polymarket

Polymarket built its reputation as the largest crypto-native prediction market in the world, and after acquiring the CFTC-licensed QCX exchange, it now operates a separate, federally regulated Polymarket US product for American traders. See our full Polymarket review for the complete picture.

Polymarket Pros

  • Deepest Global Liquidity | Polymarket's international platform remains the largest prediction market by trading volume worldwide, which historically has meant tighter spreads on high-profile markets than most U.S.-only competitors can match.
  • Two Separate Platforms | U.S. residents are restricted to the newer, CFTC-regulated Polymarket US product rather than the original international site, which has been geo-blocked for U.S. IP addresses since a 2022 CFTC settlement.

Polymarket Cons

  • Crypto-Native Roots | Polymarket's history and interface still carry a crypto-first design sensibility, which can feel less like a traditional brokerage app than Webull's stock-and-options-inspired layout.
  • Regulatory Track Record Still Building | Because Polymarket US only launched in late 2025, it has a shorter U.S. regulatory track record than Kalshi or CME-backed products, even though the underlying exchange is now properly licensed.

Webull vs. DraftKings Predicts

DraftKings has moved aggressively into prediction markets, culminating in the mid-2026 launch of DKeX, its own proprietary CFTC-regulated exchange built on the Railbird Exchange acquisition rather than relying on Kalshi or CME. Read the full DraftKings Predicts review.

DraftKings Predicts Pros

  • Owns Its Own Exchange | Unlike Webull, which connects to Kalshi's existing exchange, DraftKings self-certifies contracts on DKeX, giving it more direct control over which markets launch and how quickly.
  • Massive Existing User Base | With tens of millions of active DraftKings sportsbook users as a built-in funnel, DKeX had one of the fastest volume ramps of any new prediction-market entrant after its June 2026 launch.

DraftKings Predicts Cons

  • Sports-First Market Menu | DraftKings' contract lineup leans heavily toward sports, with combo-style contracts letting users bundle up to six legs together; political and macroeconomic markets are comparatively thin.
  • Newer Regulatory Footing | Because DKeX is a self-operated exchange rather than a long-established one, traders have less multi-year history to evaluate than they do with Kalshi's track record.

Webull vs. Kalshi

Kalshi is the exchange Webull itself connects to — but trading directly on Kalshi’s own app or website is a genuinely different experience than trading through Webull’s wrapper. Full details in our Kalshi review.

Kalshi Pros

  • The Original Source | As the first CFTC-registered Designated Contract Market for event trading, Kalshi lists contracts natively rather than through a partner app, which can mean new markets appear there before they roll out to Webull.
  • Tiered, Usage-Based Fees | Kalshi's own fee schedule scales from $0 to roughly $0.07 per contract depending on price, with no fee at all on contracts trading below $0.02 or above $0.98 — a different model than Webull's flat per-side fee.

Kalshi Cons

  • No Stock or Crypto Trading | Kalshi is a single-purpose event-contract exchange, so traders who also want equities, options or crypto in the same login will still need a separate brokerage like Webull.
  • Broadest Non-Sports Category List | Kalshi's politics, climate and technology categories are generally deeper than what shows up inside partner apps like Webull, since Kalshi lists new contract types on its own platform first.

Webull vs. Crypto.com

Crypto.com runs its own prediction-market product through Crypto.com Derivatives North America, leaning on the exchange’s crypto-funding rails and existing user base rather than a Kalshi or CME partnership. See the complete Crypto.com review.

Crypto.com Pros

  • Deep Crypto Funding Options | Crypto.com supports an unusually wide range of cryptocurrency deposit methods on top of standard bank transfers, which suits traders who already hold crypto on the exchange.
  • Flexible Contract Sizes | Some contracts are available in both $1 and $10 denominations, giving traders more control over position sizing than the flat $1 settlement most competitors use.

Crypto.com Cons

  • Broad Category Spread | Sports, finance, elections, economics, culture and climate are all represented, giving Crypto.com one of the wider category menus among CFTC-regulated apps.
  • State-Level Carve-Outs | New York and Arizona residents are excluded entirely, and several additional states can't access sports contracts specifically — a more restrictive map than Webull's in a few pockets.

  • Compete with Others & Climb the Leaderboards

  • No User Limiting on Trades

OG Pros

  • Sportsbook-Style Trading Feel | OG's sports markets support winners, spreads, totals, player props and futures with up to four-leg combo contracts, giving it a more sportsbook-like feel than Webull's finance-first design.
  • Wide Range of Funding Rails | Instant deposit, ACH, wire, PayPal, debit card, Venmo, Apple Pay and Google Pay are all supported, a noticeably broader funding menu than Webull offers for event contracts.

OG Cons

  • Thin Non-Sports Liquidity | While OG technically lists politics, economics, culture and climate contracts, volume outside of sports is limited enough that traders looking for a broad macro market menu will likely find Webull or Kalshi deeper.
  • No Limit Orders | OG currently only supports immediate-or-cancel execution rather than resting limit orders, which is a meaningful difference from Webull's limit-order-based Event Contract accounts.

Webull Prediction Markets Customer Support

Support for Event Contract accounts runs through Webull’s standard brokerage-wide support desk rather than a dedicated prediction-markets help line, which is worth knowing if you’re expecting the kind of instant live chat some sportsbook apps offer.

Support ChannelDetails
📧 Emailsupport@webull.com — general brokerage-wide support inbox
☎️ Phone(888) 828-0618 — U.S. line; hours not separately confirmed for Event Contract accounts
📚 Help CenterExtensive in-app and online FAQ organized by topic (account, banking, trading, taxes, and more)
💬 Live ChatNot confirmed as available specifically for Event Contract accounts, as of this writing
🐦 Social MediaOfficial social channels post account and market updates; not a primary support channel

The fastest way to resolve most account or trading questions is Webull’s in-app and online Help Center, which organizes FAQs by topic (account and login, banking, trading, tax documents and more) and covers the large majority of routine issues without needing to contact a human. For anything the self-serve articles don’t answer, Webull publishes a general support email (support@webull.com) and a U.S. phone line ((888) 828-0618); as of this writing, we couldn’t confirm published support hours or a dedicated live-chat option specifically for Event Contract accounts, so if timing matters, it’s worth testing response speed with a low-stakes question before you’re relying on support during a live market.

Responsible Trading and Where to Get Help

Event contracts are real-money, regulated derivatives — money can be lost as quickly as it’s made, and the exchange-style pricing can make it easy to underestimate risk if you’re used to thinking in fixed-odds betting terms rather than probability. Because Webull Event Contract accounts sit alongside stocks, options and crypto in the same login, it’s worth treating your prediction-market position sizing with the same discipline you’d apply to any other leveraged or fast-moving position, not as a separate “fun money” bucket.

A few habits worth building before you scale up trade size: set a personal loss limit for the week or month before you start, avoid chasing a losing position by doubling up on the next contract, and remember that a market priced at $0.90 is not a “safe” trade just because it looks likely — a 10% chance still happens roughly one time in ten. Our prediction markets strategies guide covers position-sizing and implied-probability math in more depth if you want a fuller framework.

If prediction-market or broader trading and gambling activity ever starts to feel compulsive rather than recreational, the National Council on Problem Gambling operates a free, confidential helpline at 1-800-GAMBLER (1-800-426-2537), available 24/7 by phone or text. Support is also available through the National Council on Problem Gambling’s website and via chat.

Webull Prediction Markets Review: Final Verdict

Webull Prediction Markets makes the most sense for traders who already have — or want — a Webull brokerage account and would rather add event contracts to that existing login than manage yet another standalone app. The regulatory backbone is solid (Kalshi’s CFTC-registered exchange plus a CFTC-registered Futures Commission Merchant), the fee structure is disclosed and easy to estimate, and the core app is genuinely one of the better-reviewed trading apps on the market. Where it comes up shorter is breadth and polish specific to prediction markets: culture, climate and science & tech categories are thin, full functionality leans mobile-first, and support doesn’t yet include a confirmed live-chat option.

If your priority is the single deepest market menu, Kalshi or Polymarket directly may serve you better. If you want the most sportsbook-like trading feel, DraftKings Predicts or OG lean further in that direction. But for a trader who wants prediction markets bolted onto a brokerage account they already trust, Webull is a legitimate, well-regulated option worth a look — just go in expecting a brokerage-app experience rather than a betting-app one.

Webull Prediction FAQs

Yes. Webull Prediction Markets lists contracts through Kalshi, the first CFTC-registered Designated Contract Market for event trading, and Webull Futures LLC — a CFTC-registered Futures Commission Merchant and NFA member — holds funds and routes orders. That’s two layers of federal oversight, though event contracts are not covered by SIPC protection the way stock holdings are.

Yes. Even if you already have a funded Webull brokerage or crypto account, you’ll need to apply separately for an Event Contract account before you can trade Kalshi-listed contracts through the app.

As of this writing, Webull discloses a $0.01-per-contract, per-side exchange fee plus a $0.01-per-contract, per-side platform fee, for roughly $0.02 per side or about $0.04 on a full round-trip trade. Fee schedules on trading apps can change, so confirm current pricing in-app before trading.

There’s no stated minimum account balance to open an Event Contract account, and contract prices themselves start at one cent. The current $20 welcome bonus does require a first prediction-market trade of at least $20 to qualify, though that’s a promotional threshold rather than a platform-wide minimum.

Webull organizes contracts into seven categories: Sports, Crypto, Financials, Economics, Culture, Climate, and Science & Tech. Sports, crypto and economics markets (including hourly S&P 500, Nasdaq, Bitcoin and Ethereum contracts, plus Fed rate decisions and CPI prints) tend to have the deepest liquidity, while culture, climate and science & tech markets are thinner.

Yes. Webull allows early exits on open positions, letting you lock in a gain or limit a loss before the underlying event concludes, rather than forcing you to hold every contract to final settlement.

Webull’s core brokerage is available nationwide, and that generally extends to prediction markets. The main exception is sports-related contracts, which are restricted in a handful of states with their own sports-wagering statutes, commonly including Arizona, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Montana, Nevada and Ohio as of this writing. Non-sports categories are generally unaffected by these state-level restrictions.

Webull connects to the same Kalshi-listed contracts you’d find trading directly on Kalshi’s own app, but Kalshi’s fee schedule is tiered by contract price rather than Webull’s flat per-side fee, and Kalshi sometimes lists new contract types before they appear on partner apps like Webull. The tradeoff is that Kalshi doesn’t offer stock, options or crypto trading in the same account the way Webull does.

Debit card, ACH bank transfer and domestic wire transfer are all supported. Debit card funding is fastest (often minutes) but may carry a short holding period before withdrawal; ACH is fee-free but takes several business days; wire transfers are fast for large amounts but carry an $8 deposit fee and $25 withdrawal fee as of this writing.

As of this writing, new users can earn a $20 cash bonus for placing a first prediction-market trade of $20 or more. Webull’s broader brokerage account also runs separate deposit-based and referral promotions that aren’t specific to Event Contract accounts. Promotional terms change frequently, so confirm the current offer in the app before you fund an account based on it.
