Fanatics Betting and Gaming, under the umbrella of Fanatics Holdings, has announced a long-term partnership with the NHL’s Carolina Hurricanes. This strategic partnership aims to secure market access for the Fanatics sportsbook within the burgeoning North Carolina sports betting landscape.
This collaboration is in preparation for the imminent launch of online sports betting in the Tar Heel State. Subject to regulatory approval, the established agreement between both entities will see Fanatics become the official sports betting partner of the Hurricanes.
Securing an agreement with the ice hockey team became imperative for the sportsbook, owing to the state regulations mandating that operators seeking entry among North Carolina sports betting apps must establish partnerships with professional franchises or venues within the state.

Scheduled for March 2024, the commencement of regulated online sports betting in North Carolina opens up avenues for Fanatics Sportsbook.
This partnership provides access to the North Carolina market for mobile sports betting and presents the prospect of establishing a retail sportsbook at PNC Arena.
Furthermore, the partnership extends to various marketing assets, encompassing in-arena signage, broadcast integrations, and PNC Arena activations designed explicitly for hockey enthusiasts. It also provides numerous opportunities for engagement with Fanatics Sportsbook, presenting Hurricanes fans and ticket holders with diverse ways to interact with the platform.
With Vermont sports betting officially launching on Thursday, Fanatics now operates in ten states in the US. The sportsbook, which only went live in August 2023, offers a seamless experience for fans, featuring fast signup, easy betting, transparent withdrawals, live streaming, and industry-leading search functionality.
