Total gaming revenue in New Jersey fell 2.8% year over year to $579.6 million in September 2026, according to the Division of Gaming Enforcement’s monthly report.

Online casino was the only segment to grow while statewide revenue remained ahead for the year to date.

Online Gaming Grows as Casino and Sports Revenue Fall

Internet gaming revenue reached $274.8 million in September, compared with $243.1 million a year earlier.

InterGame and CDC Gaming Reports both put September’s in-person casino win at $227.8 million. InterGame reported casino hotels brought in $227.8 million in September, down 1.3% from $230.7 million in September 2025. The figure represents casino gambling win, not the hotels’ total business revenue.

Sports wagering revenue fell more sharply than in-person casino revenue. Sports wagering revenue hit $77 million in September, down 14.3% from $89.8 million last year.

New Jersey Year-to-Date Revenue Remains Ahead

The September decline did not erase New Jersey’s year-to-date gains. Total gaming revenue is $5.39 billion through September 2026, up 5.1% from $5.13 billion in the comparable prior-year period.

Internet gaming win reached $2.4 billion through September, up 13.2% from $2.12 billion. Year-to-date in-person casino win of $2.24 billion is up 1.4%, while sports wagering gross revenue was down 6.3%.
