Resorts World New York City has opened its International Room in Queens, featuring 48 table games and three private gaming salons.
The high-limit space is part of a broader expansion that includes a planned $5.5 billion integrated resort.
International Room Adds High-Limit Games and Private Salons
The International Room opened Oct. 22 with Queens native and rapper Nas attending the unveiling.
The room offers high-limit baccarat, roulette and blackjack, with dedicated hosts, premium beverage service and hot and cold dining available 24 hours a day.
The three private salons provide a separate option for guests seeking personalized service.
InterGame reported that the operator described the International Room as New York City’s first high-limit gaming destination.
“The International Room is a major milestone in the evolution of Resorts World New York City, representing another important step toward realizing our vision of a world-class integrated resort right here in Queens,” said Meghan Taylor, senior VP of government affairs and public relations at Resorts World.
More Tables and Slots Accompany the Resort Expansion
The International Room is not the only addition to the gaming floor. The broader first-floor expansion is bringing 57 additional table games and 147 additional slot machines online. Those additions will bring the property’s inventory to nearly 300 live table games and more than 4,000 slot machines, the outlet reported.
Resorts World is celebrating its 15th anniversary, having opened in Southeast Queens in 2011. The new room opened fewer than seven months after the property began operating as a full-fledged casino with ball and dice games.
Other expansion plans include a 7,000-seat arena, 2,000 hotel rooms, dozens of bars and restaurants, and 11 acres of green space.
