Betting Partnership Tracker: Sportsbook, Casino & DFS Deals of NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL Teams

The commissioners of the country’s four major professional sports leagues asserted that legal sports betting, as it was becoming an ever-more-likely reality in 2018, could be a useful “engagement tool” to lure and set the hook on new and current fans. If they’re betting on it, they’d say, as if off the same script, they’re watching until the end. And that included all those high-dollar television spots in those games. The field was seeded for pro team gambling partnerships.

Once the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act was nullified by the Supreme Court in 2018 and teams began to realize the stigma of gambling was being eroded from the top down, they began seeking out the revenue streams sports betting operators could provide. They weren’t going to let this new opportunity pass. One, then another, then by the dozen pro sports teams began inking sponsorship deals.

Here we present Gaming Today’s professional sports team gambling partnership, updated as deals happen:

NFL Teams’ Sports Betting, Casino & DFS Sponsorships

Arizona Cardinals

• The team entered into a market access deal with BetMGM in August of 2021 and opened a sportsbook (above) at State Farm Stadium days before the Cardinals’ 2022 season began. That sportsbook was the first on-property at a Super Bowl when the Cardinals hosted the game on Feb. 12, 2023. For the first time, Super Bowl attendees could legally bet on their mobile devices while at the game.

Atlanta Falcons

PrizePicks, which is based in Atlanta, is the team’s official daily fantasy platform. Ownership joined its fellow Atlanta pro franchises in unsuccessfully urging Georgia legislators to legalize sports betting beginning in 2022.

Baltimore Ravens

• Official gaming partner: BetMGM, since 2021.
• “Premier” sports betting partner: Caesars, since 2021.
• Official daily fantasy sports partner, official sports betting, and free-to-play partner: DraftKings, 2021.
• Official casino partner: Horseshoe Casino, 2018.

Buffalo Bills

• Official sports betting partners: FanDuel, Caesars. Highmark Stadium has a Caesars-branded sportsbook-style lounge.

Carolina Panthers

A week before the launch of legal sports betting in North Carolina, FanDuel became an official sports betting partner. This is essentially a marketing and branding deal as FanDuel gained market access to North Carolina through an arrangement with the PGA TOUR. The Panthers have no deal in place with a sportsbook to gain a sports betting license in the state.

Chicago Bears

• Official sportsbook partner: PointsBet (2020) now defunct.
• Official sportsbook partner: BetRivers (2021)
• Official casino: Rivers Casino (2021)

Cincinnati Bengals

• Official sports betting partner: Betfred (July 2022.) The Bengals haven’t applied for a retail sportsbook license even though the NFL allows for working sportsbooks to exist inside stadiums.

Cleveland Browns

• Bally’s was announced as the team’s official sports betting partner in April 2022. Plans include a lounge at FirstEnergy Stadium.

Dallas Cowboys

• In 2018, the Cowboys announced WinStar World Casino as its official casino sponsor. It was the first such partnership in NFL history.

Team owner Jerry Jones has an equity stake in DraftKings.

Denver Broncos

• Official sports betting partner: FanDuel, since 2020.

Detroit Lions

• Official sports betting partner: BetMGM (2020).
• Official sportsbook and gaming partner: WynnBet (2021). Plans include a WynnBET Sports Bar at Ford Field.
• Announced a presenting sponsorship with Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort in 2022.
• Caesars became a sports betting and iGaming partner just before the 2024 season.

Green Bay Packers

• Oneida Casino is the official casino of the Packers.

Houston Texans

• Official casino sponsor: Caesars Entertainment (2021).

Indianapolis Colts

• Caesars Entertainment and William Hill became official sports betting partners in 2020 (Caesars completed its acquisition of William Hill in 2021).
• Caesars became the “premier sports betting partner” and official casino partner in 2021.

Jacksonville Jaguars

No gambling partners.

Kansas City Chiefs

The team announced BetMGM and DraftKings as official sports betting partners on Sept. 1, 2022, the day sports betting went live in neighboring Kansas.

Las Vegas Raiders

• MGM Resorts is an official gaming and sportsbook partner.
• Have a corporate deal with the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians

Los Angeles Chargers, Los Angeles Rams

These LA-based NFL teams share SoFi Stadium.

• Pechanga Resort Casino, owned and operated by the Pechanga Band of Luiseño Indians, is the official California casino partner of the Rams, Chargers, SoFi Stadium, and Hollywood Park.

Miami Dolphins

• Hard Rock International, which is owned by the Seminole Tribe of Florida, has naming rights to the Dolphins’ stadium. The Seminoles maintain a virtual monopoly on gaming in Florida.

Minnesota Vikings

• The Vikings were one of the first NFL teams to sign a casino sponsor: Mystic Lake Casino Hotel.

New England Patriots

• Kraft Group has had a corporate partnership with DraftKings since 2014 after being an early investor.
• Aristocrat Gaming became an official partner of the team and Gillette Stadium in September of 2022.

New York Giants

• Official sports betting partner: DraftKings.

New Orleans Saints

• The Saints play in the Caesars Superdome, and their official gaming partner has been Harrah’s since 2018. The Harrah’s New Orleans casino is operated by Caesars Entertainment.

New York Jets

• Fubo became an official sports betting partner in 2021, but that wing of the company has folded.
• WynnBet signed on to launch the WynnBET Green Room at MetLife Stadium for Jets games.
• The Jets signed the NFL’s first online gambling operator sponsorship in 2018 (888casino)
• Also in 2018, MGM became an official gaming partner.

Philadelphia Eagles

Official sports betting partners:

• DraftKings
• FOX Bet
• Unibet. In September of 2022, the team announced an extension through 2025 that would keep Unibet as an official casino and online games and sportsbook partner. Its parent company, Kindred, is shutting down the North American sites in 2024, however.

Pittsburgh Steelers

• BetMGM became an official sports betting partner in November 2020.
• Unibet was added as a marketing partner in August 2021, but is leaving the US marketplace. Its parent company, Kindred, is shutting down the North American sites in 2024, however.

San Francisco 49ers

• Cache Creek Casino Resort is among its promotional partners.

Seattle Seahawks

• Opened a marketing partnership with Snoqualmie Casino in 2018.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

No gambling partners and ownership fought gambling expansion in Florida.

Tennessee Titans

• BetMGM signed on as a sports betting partner in 2020. It was the first gambling deal for a Tennessee pro team.

Washington Commanders

• In 2021, FanDuel Group and the then-Washington Football Team entered the first-ever market access partnership between an NFL team and an online sports gaming platform in the U.S. The deal was for Virginia.
• In August of 2022, the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Commission granted the team initial approval for a retail sportsbook license at FedEx Field in Summerfield.

NBA Teams’ Sports Betting, Casino & DFS Partnerships

Atlanta Hawks

• Tony Ressler’s team has been vocal in imploring Georgia legislators to legalize sports betting.

Boston Celtics

• Added DraftKings as a sports betting partner in 2020.

Brooklyn Nets

Have gambling deals with:

• Betway
• FanDuel
• New York Lottery.

Charlotte Hornets

bet365 gained market access to North Carolina by partnering with the team connected to DraftKings by minority owner Michael Jordan, a DraftKings advisor and board member. Jordan had deployed former NBA stars Muggsy Bogues and Dell Curry to lobby lawmakers for state-wide mobile sports betting in 2021.

• DraftKings is the team’s official daily fantasy sports outlet.

Chicago Bulls

• Has a corporate partnership with Betway.
• PointsBet sponsored an alternate feed “BetCast” in 20t2.
• Named Wind Creek Casino Chicago Southland as official casino partner in December, 2022.

Cleveland Cavaliers

• Caesars became the team’s official sports betting and casino partner in February 2022 and a two-story sportsbook is open in the atrium of Rocket Mortgage Field House. It’s not technically one of the few sportsbooks in pro sports located inside and arena.
• Had a deal with Fubo Sportsbook for mobile and a retail sportsbook, but FuboTV shut down its gambling operation in October, 2022, two months before the planned Ohio go-live date.

Dallas Mavericks

No gambling partners, but part-owner Mark Cuban supports the legalization of sports betting in Texas. Cuban sold a majority stake in the team to the gambling tycoon Miriam Adelson in 2023. Both, as would be expected, hope to eventually expand gambling in Texas and erect a casino resort to support the Mavericks.

• Betway is the official and exclusive free-to-play partner.

Denver Nuggets

• Kroenke Sports & Entertainment in 2020 made PointsBet the official gaming partner of its Avalanche (NHL), Nuggets, Mammoth (National Lacrosse League), and Pepsi Center properties.

Detroit Pistons

• DraftKings and FanDuel became official sports betting partners in 2020.

In 2021, the team signed a multi-year sports betting pacts with:

Golden State Warriors

• Cache Creek Casino Resort is a promotional partner.
• Has a corporate sponsorship with Betway.

Houston Rockets

The team has no gambling partners, but owner Tilman Fertitta became a member of the DraftKings board after selling the online portion of his Golden Nugget casino business to the company. He has lobbied for gambling legislation in Texas as part of a coalition of owners there.

Indiana Pacers

• PointsBet became an official sports gaming partner in a multi-year deal announced in 2020.
• The team also lists DraftKings as a sports betting partner.

Los Angeles Clippers

• In October of 2022, Pechanga Resort Casino became the exclusive tribal casino of the team. The Clippers have a sponsorship deal with Betway.

Los Angeles Lakers

• LeBron James became a DraftKings brand ambassador in 2024.
• Pechanga Casino Resort has a sponsor affiliation with the team. Owner Jeanie Buss supports legalizing sports betting in California.

Memphis Grizzlies

• In August of 2022, Caesars joined FanDuel and WynnBet as official sports betting partners.
• WynnBet opened a sports lounge in FedEx Forum in 2021.

Miami Heat

No gambling partnerships. But online gambling provider Betway became a partner and “official free-to-play gaming partner” in 2023.

Milwaukee Bucks

• Official gaming partner: Betway.

Minnesota Timberwolves

No gambling partners. Legislative efforts in Minnesota have fallen short in 2022.

New Orleans Pelicans

• Official sports betting partner: BetRivers, since 2022.
• Harrah’s became an official casino partner in 2018.

New York Knicks

• BetMGM and Caesars became sports betting partners in 2022.
• DraftKings is the official daily fantasy provider and a sports betting partner of the Knicks and Rangers.

Oklahoma City Thunder

• Riverwind Casino is a long-time corporate sponsor of the team.

Orlando Magic

The team has no gambling partnerships.

Philadelphia 76ers

• FOXBet became the NBA’s first official mobile sports betting partner in 2019.
• DraftKings is the official DFS provide
• Betway became a sportsbook partner in 2021

Phoenix Suns

• FanDuel became the team’s official gaming partner in 2021. In the deal, FanDuel gained market access to Arizona and a retail sportsbook was built inside Footprint Center.
• The Suns have a promotional casino partnership with Gila River Hotels & Casino.

Portland Trail Blazers

No official gambling partnerships. But the team is a member of Sport Oregon, which in August of 2022 lobbied the Oregon Joint Interim Committee on Gambling Regulation to expand sports betting there beyond the DraftKings monopoly.

Sacramento Kings

No official gambling partners, but MGM sponsors a team app-based game where players wager pretend cash on hypothetical outcomes.

San Antonio Spurs

No gambling partners.

Toronto Raptors

• Parent company MLSE announced a partnership with PointsBet Canada for the Raptors and Maple Leafs.

Utah Jazz

As if.

Washington Wizards

• Ted Leonsis was the first Big-Four owner to tout sports betting as an engagement tool and signed a deal with Caesars that put a first inside a North American pro sports venue for the first time. The Caesars brand will also place patches on the NHL Capitals’ uniforms beginning with the 2022-23 season.

MLB Teams’ Sports Betting, Casino & DFS Sponsorships

Arizona Diamondbacks

• Kenneth Kendrick’s team allied with Caesars in May of 2021 to open a sportsbook in Chase Field and gained a marketing license to offer state-wide mobile sports betting in Arizona. The Diamondbacks were the first MLB to enter an agreement as a sports betting operator.

Atlanta Braves

PrizePicks, which is headquartered in Atlanta, became the Braves’ official DFS site in 2020. Braves ownership has been vocal in conjunction with the Falcons, Hawks, and United in imploring Georgia legislators to legalize the enterprise.

Baltimore Orioles

• The team announced a betting partnership with SuperBook Sports in 2022, and opened a sportsbook lounge in Oriole Park in 2023. The Las Vegas-based SuperBook has expanded to Arizona, Colorado, New Jersey and Tennessee.

Boston Red Sox

• The team was the first in MLB to sign an official casino partner, MGM in 2019. It can sign an official sportsbook partner as soon as the Massachusetts Gaming Commission begins selecting operators after sports betting was legalized on July 31, 2022.
• DraftKings is the exclusive DFS partner (above).

Chicago Cubs

• The team has a $100 million pact with DraftKings, which will include building a sportsbook at Wrigley Field.

Chicago White Sox

• Caesars Entertainment became the team’s “Exclusive Casino Partner” and Caesars Sportsbook an “Official Sports Betting Partner” in May 2022.

Cincinnati Reds

• BetMGM became the Red Legs’ retail sports betting partner, and Underdog Fantasy its online in July of 2022.
• BetMGM opened a retail sportsbook at Great American Ball Park in the former Machine Room restaurant, which was not accessible from ticketed areas but was open all year. The sportsbook was unpopular and moved to a nearby location for 2024 to improve its woeful performance.

Cleveland Guardians

• Mobile sports betting partner: bet365.
• Retail: Fanatics. A retail sportsbook is expected to open at Progressive Field in 2023.

Colorado Rockies

• DraftKings is the team’s official sportsbook, but it has a corporate sponsorship deal with BetFred.
• Outfielder Charlie Blackmon is a brand ambassador with MaximBet, having become the first active MLB player to take on such a role with a sportsbook.

Detroit Tigers

• The first MLB franchise to announce a partnership with a sportsbook, the Christopher Illitch-owned team announced BetMGM as its official gaming partner and FanDuel as a sports betting partner in 2021.

Houston Astros

• BetMGM became the team’s exclusive sports betting partner on May 9, 2022. Sports betting is not legal in Texas.

Kansas City Royals

• The team has no gambling partners, but John Sherman’s franchise has supported ballot initiatives to legalize sports betting in Missouri.

Los Angeles Angels

Pechanga Resort Casino team has a sponsor affiliation with the Angels.

Los Angeles Dodgers

• Has a corporate sponsorship with San Manuel Casino.

Miami Marlins

• Monkey Knife Fight became the official DFS platform in 2020. The company shut down in 2023. PrizePicks then took over the DFS partnership, but ceased operations in Florida in 2024 by order of the state government.

Milwaukee Brewers

• In 2022, Potawatomi Hotel & Casino became the team’s official casino.
• Monkey Knife Fight became the official DFS platform in 2020.

Minnesota Twins

• Jackpocket became the team’s official mobile lottery platform in 2022.

New York Mets

• Caesars became an official sportsbook partner in 2022. This includes plans to build a sportsbook “lounge” at CitiField.

New York Yankees

• Bet365, DraftKings, and FanDuel became official sportsbook partners in the 2022 season.
• BetMGM Resorts became a corporate partner in July, 2024.

Oakland Athletics

No gambling deals besides Cache Creek Casino Resort as a promotional partner. Would that change with a move to Las Vegas?

Philadelphia Phillies

The only Philadelphia pro sports franchise without a sports betting partnership.

• Live! Casino Philadelphia signed on as a sponsor in 2021.

Pittsburgh Pirates

• Has a content-sharing and advertisement deal with BetMGM since July of 2021.

San Diego Padres

• Circa Resort & Casino in Las Vegas signed on to sponsor the ninth inning of games at Petco Park in 2021.
• Team also has a deal with Sycuan Casino Resort.

San Francisco Giants

• Lists Cache Creek Casino Resort as an official gambling associate since March of 2022.

Seattle Mariners

• Has a corporate sponsorship with Emerald Queen Casino.

St. Louis Cardinals

William DeWitt Jr.’s team supported ballot measures in 2021 that would have legalized sports betting in Missouri.

• The DraftKings at Casino Queen (across the Mississippi River in Illinois) is listed as one of the Cardinals’ “preferred hotels.”

Tampa Bay Rays

No gambling partners.

Texas Rangers

• Choctaw Casinos & Resorts is the “official and exclusive casino and resort” of the team.

Toronto Blue Jays

• Ontario-based theScore became the team’s exclusive official gaming partner on Opening Day in 2022.

Washington Nationals

• MGM signed a deal with the team to control the virtual sports betting real estate around Nationals Park and has opened a retail sportsbook there.

NHL Teams’ Sports Betting, Casino & DFS Partnerships

Anaheim Ducks

• Has a corporate partnership with San Manuel Casino.

Arizona Coyotes

• Owner Alex Meruelo’s Meruelo Gaming LLC made SaharaBets the team’s official sports betting partner in 2022. But in April of 2024, the franchise was sold to billionaire Ryan Smith, who plans to move it to Utah. Because sportsbooks gain market access to Arizona through partnerships with sports franchises or venues, the status of SaharaBets is unclear. The Arizona Department of Gaming told Gaming Today on April 23, 2024 – days after the relocation was approved – that “the Department is aware of the recent reports regarding the Arizona Coyotes, however, the Department has not received any notice from the Coyotes and/or their sports betting designee related to this matter.”
• In September, 2022, the team announced a multi-year uniform patch deal for its home jerseys with Gila River Resorts and Casinos.

Boston Bruins

• Hometown DraftKings is the team’s official and exclusive daily fantasy sports provider sports betting partner. Massachusetts legalized sports betting on Aug 1, 2022.

Buffalo Sabres

• FanDuel became the team’s official sports betting partner in 2022.

Calgary Flames

• Has a corporate partnership with Deerfoot Inn and Casino.

Carolina Hurricanes

Fanatics gained market access to North Carolina by partnering with gambling-forward owner Tom Dundon, who wants to build a sportsbook in PNC Arena. GM Don Waddell lobbied state lawmakers in 2022 when sports betting legislation stalled. He told WRAL: “Compared to a lot of teams, we’re already way behind. We can’t compete with all the Canadian cities, the New Yorks, Bostons. We can’t continue to fall further behind.  As revenues go up in the league overall, the (salary) cap goes up. But if our revenues don’t increase, now that 50-50 split starts to tilt the other way. For us, it might be 60% going to the players, only 40% going to us.”

Chicago Blackhawks

• Announced Circa Sports as a patch sponsor in June of 2024.
• Expanded on their corporate partnership with FanDuel by opening a two-story sportsbook in United Center.

Colorado Avalanche

• Kroenke Sports & Entertainment in 2020 made PointsBet the official gaming partner of its Avalanche (NHL), Nuggets, Mammoth (National Lacrosse League) and Pepsi Center properties.

Columbus Blue Jackets

• Has a mobile sports betting deal with Fanatics and opened a retail sportsbook with the company adjacent to Nationwide Arena in 2023.

Dallas Stars

• PrizePicks daily fantasy became the team’s first gambling partner in February of 2024

Detroit Red Wings

• Has deals with FanDuel Casino & Sportsbook and PointsBet.

Edmonton Oilers

Star center Connor McDavid became the first active North American-based team sport athlete to become a sports book ambassador in 2022. He joined BetMGM.

Florida Panthers

• A corporate relationship with the Seminole Tribe of Florida, which has a near-monopoly on casino gambling there, became an official sportsbook partnership in April, 2024 via Hard Rock Bet.

Los Angeles Kings

• Has a sponsorship deal with Betway.

Minnesota Wild

• Has a corporate partnership with Treasure Island Resort & Casino.

Montreal Canadiens

• Added Playtika as an official gaming partner in 2019.

Nashville Predators

• Announced DraftKings as the team’s official sports betting provider in December, 2020.
• Added Bally’s in 2021.

New Jersey Devils

• Signed with Caesars in 2018 as an early adopter.
• Inked Betway to a sports betting deal in 2021.
• Added PlayUp in 2021.

New York Islanders

• Auston Matthews became a brand ambassador for BET99, but Ontario banned active or retired athletes from appearing in gambling advertising in 2024.

Vancouver Canucks

• Has a corporate partnership with Canadian sportsbook PlayNow.com.

Vegas Golden Knights

• Announced Circa Sports as a jersey patch sponsor in April 2022.
• Signed the NHL’s first sports betting partnership – with William Hill – in 2018.

Washington Capitals

• In 2023, the Capitals will wear Caesars Sportsbook logos on their jerseys (above).
• Were the first North American pro sports team to agree to such a jersey deal.
• In-arena sportsbook was the first in North America.

Winnipeg Jets

• Partners with PointsBet Canada.
