Deadwood, the historic gaming town in South Dakota, will welcome sports betting starting in September and maybe even in time for the kick-off of the NFL’s regular season on September 9.
BetMGM has partnered with Liv Hospitality to bring sports betting to the Tin Lizzie Gaming Resort and Cadillac Jack’s Gaming Resort in Deadwood, giving bettors access to the BetMGM sportsbook.
BetMGM Sportsbook In Deadwood
On November 3, 2020, the South Dakota State Legislature approved the Deadwood Sports Betting Legalization Amendment and legalized sports betting in Deadwood. A meeting is scheduled on September 8 for the South Dakota Commission on Gaming to approve when sportsbooks will launch in Deadwood, with the goal of sports betting to officially go live on September 9.
BetMGM plans to open sports betting kiosks and offer counter wagering inside Tin Lizzie Gaming Resort and Cadillac Jack’s Gaming Resort. Not only does the partnership bring retail sportsbooks to the city, but bettors are also able to access the BetMGM sports betting app while on casino properties.
