In a recent announcement, Fanatics Betting and Gaming (FBG) revealed that Andy Wright has stepped down from his role as Senior Vice President of Trading.
Andy joined Fanatics in May 2022 and served for two years and one month before departing from the company.
In a press statement, he expressed his delight in the time spent with Fanatics, noting that although he brought a wealth of expertise to the role, he also learned a great deal on the job. He highlighted his positive experiences and growth during his tenure, appreciating the opportunity to contribute to and be part of the team’s success.
“As some of you know, I recently left Fanatics after a fantastic two years helping Matthew King & team build the betting and gaming division. I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity, and I learnt a huge amount in that time – particularly some new business lingo but I won’t ‘double click’ into that just now,” Andy said.
Andy explained his reason for resigning, which appeared to be akin to retirement. However, he did not clarify whether it would be temporary or if he planned to return to the career scene. He mentioned that he would be exploring new activities and spending time with his family.
“Now it’s time to recharge the batteries and spend more time with the family before finding a new venture. All the best to the team at Fanatics Betting & Gaming; I’ll be cheering you on from afar!” Andy concluded.
